The Capitals are ass, the Rangers will clean sweep them or at most a gentleman’s sweep

Ovechkin looks like he’s 100 years old out there.

Rebuild is in their future

I don’t think there’s really much to gain from any Rangers gloating. Most Caps fans know this team is pretty shit. They’ve played ok at times against bad teams. They have to do everything right to have a chance against most, so the Rangers should win. I’m happy to see some effort and they’re trying, but they’re short about 15-20 million in top two line talent and you can see the difference. Throw in the defensive injuries and it’s where it is. Miracles by Lindgren to be here.

That said, Panarins hit was pretty gross. I also think there’s a few weaknesses that might show up against better competition. As a Caps fan, I also know the reality of the Presidents trophy.

So gross that the officials took time to review it and still called nothing?

Yeah, I take solace in the fact that the Rangers aren't winning a f***ing thing this year. They will get crushed by Fla, Tampa, Carolina, and likely the winner of Toronto/Boston. Let alone what the west winner would do to the them, Dolan will probably take out 2 full page ads to let the world know how upset he is.
I am happy for you!

That one was pretty competitive. Almost too competitive for my blood but that's the nature of playoffs. I almost find it more annoying to watch games like this but you know whatever. Everyone is different.

I think the officiating was kind of awful but fans from both teams have some things to be frustrated with that but maybe all in all it was a wash. Just an ugly officiated game.

But I'm glad my team held on to win. The Caps still have a few old dogs left from their Stanley Cup year......mostly the rest are journeymen and young upstarts. Win or lose it's a good experience for their young guys. They played hard and the Rangers are going to have to play hard to beat them and the next two games in DC kind of look like they might be nail biters too but there's no doubt in my mind that the Rangers are the better team. Where the doubt is in series like this is whether they're going to show it. The Caps as well have a decimated defense and that would be a problem for any team.

You cannot be f***ing serious with this stuff.

First off, Oshie hit him just a bit earlier without the puck and there was no call.

Second off, the hit was right through Oshie's chest.

If Oshie is going to swing his stick around Rangers' players faces with reckless abandon (two scrums he came in stick-high) and go after Panerin like that, perhaps he should man the f*** up. He played the entire game until that point like a complete scumbag. He earned every bit of that hit and then some.

Hes supposed to just go with anyone and everyone who asks? Hes supposed to go with a 32 year old whos played 75 total nhl games? Lol
People like him are not serious individuals, frankly.

Rangers should've never let them hang around. They need this to be over in 4 because Carolina's doing the same.

Officiating has been noticeably disgusting throughout the entire first round. They should just alternate powerplays for the whole game to see who has better special teams because that's all the playoffs has been thus far. NHL appeasing the sportsbooks
