Could see a less physical game tonight. As much as I love the physicality it’s always good to remember the playoffs don’t end after the 1st rd.

I am very interested in how Ottawa comes out of the gate tonight

I feel good about Berube having the leafs prepared, unsure if the team will do what they need to do though.

But a lot of that has to do with how Ottawa chooses to respond

I'm thinking the unthinkable as a Leafs fan.

It doesn't matter what the Sens come out of the gate with. Leafs are prepared and ready to win

This game 2 is legit HUGE.

Senators can come in and run the leafs over if the boys aren’t sharp tonight and that would be a disaster. The test for the leafs tonight is a killer instinct type of test.

Senators are capable, but how do the leafs follow up?

Why are you making me nervous?

Game 1 I thought "I bet Sens are gonna come out banging, Leafs should throw caution to the wind and match them"

Which they did, very well.

No reason the Leafs should come out any different in Game 2.

Leafs are not pushovers if they don't want to be.

I'm hoping it all comes together and the Sens realize their strategy has crumbled, and they have to hope for lucky bounces.

Bro, I’m a broken man. As much shit talking as I give out to other fans and leaf haters, they always get one thing right.

The Leafs love to give us hope and then let us down in the most heartbreaking way possible.

I need this team to help me heal the scars

Hmm, I'm not sure that's how the game really went. As I keep saying, prior to the penalties at the start of the 2nd, the Sens were outshooting the leafs 15-6. They had given up two goals on an odd-man rush and a breakaway, but other than that, they had been carrying play for much of the game. The 3 penalties in a row basically ended the game when the leafs capitalized. No penalties in the first frame and the Sens were right in that game. It was 2-1...

The refs were less prepared than the Sens for game 1. Let's see how this new crew calls it.

Tonight's referees are Gord Dwyer and Pierre Lambert. I've generally had good experiences with Gord Dwyer as a referee. I used to follow officials more closely, but don't really anymore, so I'm not sure what I think about Pierre Lambert. I kind of lost interest in following officials' careers after Pierre Racicot and Mike Leggo retired (Mike Leggo is the one who announced "you can't do that" on a hot mic once).

Best of luck to those two guys.

Ottawa radio just confirmed Scotiabank Arena is piping in "Go Leafs Go" chants over the soundsystem during the pregame soundcheck. Holy f*** lmao
Chris Stevenson also confirmed on ottawa radio that even though that's happening here and there, Game 1 was the loudest he's ever heard that arena since he's been covering games at SBA

Showing only 5 playoff games for Pierre Lambert, so who knows. Hopefully he's not out there trying to make a name for himself.

I didn't realize you were a Leafs fan.

My bad.

I am also broken in the same way.

I like what I saw in game 1, don't want to see them come out and play some perimiter offensive minded game strategy with Marner dancing around the O-zone all night.
