Let's be serious, if the rangers got to the finals this year the NHL would be doing cartwheels for the revenues it would create. In the east, the leafs and rangers are absolute financial giants that can make a huge impact on the league.

That's what most think but that's not the case. The league wants teams that are losing money to go far.
