Garbage. No one predicted anything like that.the amount of hype they were getting near the end of the season was wild, many people predicted them to steamroll in the playoffs

read demidovs first game thread and the calder thread, many people hyped them to the extremeNot one soul predicted that.
I don't even know how you can watch this game and come to the conclusion that Suzuki isn't part of the core. He's the best player on the ice.I just figured your core was your best players, my bad.
Demidov is good but hella green. He's not Gretzky and unlikely to change the fortunes of the team so early on in his career.read demidovs first game thread and the calder thread, many people hyped them to the extreme
He might but not without decent linematesDemidov is good but hella green. He's not Gretzky and unlikely to change the fortunes of the team so early on in his career.
WTF lol. We’re just making up any dumb bullshit now for kicks?the amount of hype they were getting near the end of the season was wild, many people predicted them to steamroll in the playoffs
You can tell by watching him through two periods today that he's still adjusting. That's ok.He might but not without decent linemates
Some people like to vomit their narratives. They've been waiting all seasonI don't even know how you can watch this game and come to the conclusion that Suzuki isn't part of the core. He's the best player on the ice.
you calling me a leaf fan?Leafs fans really trying to walk the line with veiled criticisms, stop
Third period has been their best lately so you never know.......Habs are hustling, even Laine for some reason, but there's a reason one team is seeded 1 and the other 8. Caps are in a good position but better not get complacent. Habs have enough weapons to tie things up.
Any team is dangerous in the playoffs, but a team of smallish skill players who are predominantly perimeter shooters is not exactly built for playoff success since perimeter shooting is the first thing to dry up in the playoffs.Habs have enough weapons to tie things up.
They were joking around.read demidovs first game thread and the calder thread, many people hyped them to the extreme
The NHL continues to be the most illogical of all pro sport leagues.
So the puck was played with a high stick and if it went in, it would have been called back.
SInce when do you get to play the puck with a high stick?
Isn't the rule so people are not potentially injured with people waving their sticks around? Unless it's a Michigan, then I can jam my stick blade as hard as I can right towards the Goalies eyes. That's acceptable.
If you can challenge for a missed offside that meant nothing but can get a goal called back, why can't you challenge for a puck played with a high stick that wasn't called?
If you see a goal was missed in the war room, they call down and make it right. Why does a coach have to risk a penalty when you missed the call?
I love this league but it sucks.
They're doing fine, but it's also very obvious who the better team is, which isn't surprising. Their goalie is having a really good game too, which helps.I honestly don’t think Montreal is doing so badly, particularly considering their inexperience and the difference is the standings between the two teams. They haven’t had a bounce go their way, and I think they can take some positives out of this one for the future.
The biggest difference to me is Washington is doing a much better job boxing the opposing forwards out from the high danger areas.

Habs are not a small team. They may not play like a big team but they aren't many small players on the team.Any team is dangerous in the playoffs, but a team of smallish skill players who are predominantly perimeter shooters is not exactly built for playoff success since perimeter shooting is the first thing to dry up in the playoffs.
I think Montreal should dress Xhekaj next game. He isn't the most reliable dman, but he will make Caps players think twice before going in the corner. Washington plays a much more rugged game
Everyone looks small when wilson is on the ice.Habs are not a small team. They may not play like a big team but they aren't many small players on the team.
Probably. Struble isn't bringing much tonight.I think Montreal should dress Xhekaj next game. He isn't the most reliable dman, but he will make Caps players think twice before going in the corner. Washington plays a much more rugged game
