I've had a hard time getting excited for these playoffs because no team in the past 20 years has won with the goaltending we've been getting and I don't know how I'm supposed to pretend otherwise

There's that, and the we have some very noticeable holes in this lineup. We can still win the series, but need to have the puck more and kill some penalties.

Tired of hearing "the other goalie is too good" excuse. This team has no issues scoring during the season but can't in the playoffs

They kept shooting low on Bob last year when he had issues with high shots. Lots of low shots tonight on Swayman

It's not that the other goalie is to good I don't believe that at all, I do believe our goalies are dog shit.

We need a real goalie

yeah and a notable component of this is they are not selling out to make every possible hit and also not trying to start a fight before or after every whistle

They just keep playing their straight forward medium skill game with a lot of big guys on the ice. It’s just uncomplicated, opposite of Keefe-Dubas think.

They knew it too.

They are very well coached...
Same cycle structure, low up high, back down.
Shift after shift.

We only go for the one pass through the seem and hope its core 4 to shoot it.

Matthews is the only guy who looks good. We're hanging Sammy out to dry.

Sammy hung himself out to dry. Swayman saved the first scoring chance of the game while Samsonov let in a goal on the first shot. Then when Toronto looked good to start the second he let's in another weak one.

Team looks like crap but Samsonov is the worst of the bunch.

I don't mind losing but at least entertain us with effort. This team is so boring and has been for a few years now. Sure they will give you the odd few games but all in all they are boring to watch. Especially against the sad sack teams and zamboni drivers.

Can someone explain why so many people thought this series was a toss up? Everyone always talks about how important goaltending is in the playoffs and we knew that Boston had a big advantage.

They have the advantage in defense, goaltending and special teams. Basically all you need to win in the playoffs. We might have the advantage in offense but as you see in this game. You don't need a top heavy team with 4 star players. Is Boston's top players scoring? Debrusk, Beecher and Carlo are scoring. They are just more than the sum of their parts.
