It's wild that the Bruins came out of that first period 2-0 in power plays. They obstruct on every single play. There is always serious bias in their favour which is why I hate playing them. It doesn't help that the Leafs are a Canadian team either
 
Could be a lot worse.... we didn't play well. Too overaggresive. Need to focus on making plays instead of going for hits just for the sake of hitting guys. Be physical but be smart.

We hit a ton in the playoffs under Dubas. We just didn't go out of position and allow 2 on 1s to do it, like we did on the first goal against.

From my perspective, this is where things will get dicey in the later rounds. The reality is that Boston struggles to score at the best of times, so you can get away with giving them chances. But against Florida or the Rangers, giving up slot chances will end a series.

I'm just hoping this doesn't later lead to the Leafs ending up in the penalty box for playing too tough. It's happened before, and they have more targets for the refs this year...

I saw Swayman make a couple key saves, Sammy make a nice stretch save, and the Leafs matching the physical play.

They are playing well and driving play... the first goal was from over-hitting... I said in another post, I think it was just early excitement and Reaves has been playing smart recently, but we are down because of it.

Not sure the issue is the stars, they've had some looks, and it's also only one period.

Overall it was kind of a dog's breakfast first period with some ups and downs and closecalls, but calling out the muscle isn't that great. What else are they supposed to do, score all the goals too?

I like the physical play. Just be smart about it. 1st period of a series is alway chaotic but I’m glad their heart is in the right place.
