I saw the Leafs being held to the perimeter and a goalpost being the only reason we're not down by 4. ANd a shaky goalie looking shakyI saw a competitive first period.

Double Reaves minutes tonight, he has been a one man wrecking ball. Reminds me of a Yuskevich or Gary Roberts the way he just took the body.
As long as he avoids penalties, this will pay dividends in games 3 and 4.
Hes been the best or 2nd bestHe's been one of the worst...

We hit a ton in the playoffs under Dubas. We just didn't go out of position and allow 2 on 1s to do it, like we did on the first goal against. At least Treliving’s team is buying into the playoff attrition game concept. Hit em early, often like a heavy weight fight and make sure they’re mentally and physically not fresh for the series as it progresses. With those Dubas teams it was never enough of this forechecking.
Nice it’s a cross check just like auto correctI will learn how he rules, thank you.
From my perspective, this is where things will get dicey in the later rounds. The reality is that Boston struggles to score at the best of times, so you can get away with giving them chances. But against Florida or the Rangers, giving up slot chances will end a series.I'd say where the chances were given up are most concerning. We need to tighten up in out zone.
Got the link?
Ah, yes. Let's blame Matthews, Marner, and Nylander 1 period in for bad penalties, a bad pinch (and no cover), and a complete inability to break out the puck.
I'm just hoping this doesn't later lead to the Leafs ending up in the penalty box for playing too tough. It's happened before, and they have more targets for the refs this year...Takes all kinds of players to win a playoff game/series, and for the life of me I can't understand the mentality of a fan who is condescends players who sacrifice their bodies to help the team.
Maroon won't last to game 7He needs to have a talk with Maroon.

Everyone clear your browser data!I feel molested after watching that Kit Kat commercial
They are playing well and driving play... the first goal was from over-hitting... I said in another post, I think it was just early excitement and Reaves has been playing smart recently, but we are down because of it.
Not sure the issue is the stars, they've had some looks, and it's also only one period.
blog? what lolCorrect.
I saw two, but maybe im just using what’s happening on the ice and not what a blog said happened lol
I like the physical play. Just be smart about it. 1st period of a series is alway chaotic but I’m glad their heart is in the right place. It’s the first period of a possible seven game series.
The Leafs let it be known they aren’t going to be dominated in the physicality department.
The tone for the series has been set.
His toughness is greatly needed and let's wait more than one period to shit our pantsWhat has he done? Genuinely curious...
He's been out-chanced... the stuff after the whistle?
you mean last year with Schenn? LOLWe hit a ton in the playoffs under Dubas. We just didn't go out of position and allow 2 on 1s to do it, like we did on the first goal against.
