Almost entirely talk that the Leafs are blowing it - any credit for Boston's game? They got a couple key players and a bunch of castaways from other franchises all clicking together playing shutdown team defense. Keeping the #2 offense in the regular season to 7 goals through the first 4 games.

Or is this kind of forum just better suited to negativity?

Cant blow what they have never had.

TB would be giving you one hell of a series if you didn't get Toronto.

You've got nothing to worry about, Boston's got this in the bag. When's the last time Boston blew a 3-1 series lead and lost in the first round? :sarcasm:
How'd the Penguins' playoffs last season go? Oh yeah, the same as this season....FORE!!

Swayman is outplaying Samsonov by a huge margin. Leafs would be well served to spend 11mil on a goalie than anyone else , its the most important position in the playoffs. Probably would have saved the first and maybe the second goal (leaving both Pasta and Marchand open for a 1T is nuts)

Rask jumped onto a bruins practice a month or so ago. Think he's available ...

That's why the Bruins took the last 2 games of the regular season off 😉
Looks like if we get past the FloBros our revenge tour probably would involve BOS, CAR, then VGK, obviously every round would be hard fought, and possible we lose each, but that's how the path looks to be shaking out if we can continue.

If we can run that gauntlet we will have earned it, no asterisks needed for Florida then.

Chasing 70 instead of getting ready and healthy for the playoffs is not a good look for Matthews.

If that's the case, it certainly doesn't help Matthews' case for caring more about individual success than whether the team wins or not.

You can't blow a 3-1 series lead if you don't even make it! 3D chess.

Well, the last 2 years the Core 3 did.

The Leafs cores playoff stats have been improving while Pastrnak's has been declining.
You started with the last 3 years, and now you're down to the last 2 years ?

Tomorrow, will it be on odd days ?

You have a nasty habit of not checking up on facts before posting, and then you move the goal posts or you deflect...

I think we could see Berube announced as Toronto head coach by next week.
Honestly Sullivan would be interesting too, at least with the Dubas leafs but only marginally different. Berube with the “edge” guys they added this years so maybe they’d actually use it more

Lol.

So I point out that Marner and Pastrnak both didn’t have a good series and Pastrnak isn’t being run out of town and you’re arguing what.. that Pastrnak is an elite empty net merchant for 11M+?

Did the core 4 play every game? They played one game together and not even the full game.

Pastrnak is one of the highest paid player on the ice this series.
In the games THEY DID PLAY:

17 games played… 7points

I have yet to see you respond, is that acceptable?

That Marchand has more points than your entire core combined? Is that acceptable?

He should have said his ass instead of chest

I fully expect the Leafs to come out the same way that they did in game 2. It sounds like Matthews could still be out which is obviously a huge hit. We'll see what happens
