Zawyer employees were running this team up until the start of the 2024-25 season. Believe me or don't. Ive worked with the team for seven years. I lived with both zawyer and gladiator employees. I had to give a report in the incident that got Steve Brown fired. To say that they were only consulting any time other than this season is not the truth.

I've told you how to get vetted. You received that message. Do the things I told you to do before you post any more rumours.

Now that I am officially vetted, the Gladiators are owned by Anson Carter and Alex Campbell. Up until the end of the 23-24 season, Zawyer was in full control of the front office save for maybe 10-20% of employees. Prior to the 23-24 season Zawyer had relocated several of its employees from Savannah to Atlanta to assist the already established Zawyer employees in operating the team. After last season, Zawyer has cleaned house, and all but one of the previous Savannah employees were let go or forced to quit. After the (overdue) firing of CFO Steve Brown, the Gladiators hired Jared Youngman to run the front office. Not on a Zawyer contract. Zawyer is not as present this season, and they are expected to be out of Atlanta as their contract supposedly expires after this season.

This is not the point of the thread, however. Having seen firsthand Zawyer management, I do not believe Zawyer owning/operating this many teams, especially in the same division is a good thing for the league. Gladiators average official attendance had dropped nearly 1k per game since Zawyers first season in 22-23 (and as we all know, those numbers are WILDLY inaccurate already). It is very clear that Zawyer prioritizes some of its teams but relegates established teams that it takes over the operations for like Atlanta and Allen to the backburner. I just cannot see granting them yet another South Division team beneficial to the league.
