I honestly thought 2 cup finals in a row would take a bigger toll on our guys, but seems like its just another day in the office. I guess the more you play, more you get used to playing a lot. So 10x cup finals in a row incoming

MT is MT for this awesome play before the Barkov goal when he tapped Orlov's clearing attempt down. As long as he does stuff like that, I don't care if he is just standing around - in the right spots.

We manhandled CAR, without Reino and Luosty... this team is insane and is a SC favourite if they continue like that.

Man, I really hope we sweep them and then play against EDM to beat them again. We could add two more destroyed fanbases to our hit list.

OEL > Schmidt (not by a lot, but still)


So yes, I think this team is better right now.

Not that much of a Schmidt fan. Some of his passes in our own zone are too high risk IMO.

One thing I feel like the Panthers are doing better this series is getting the puck out of their own zone quicker. They have been using the Ekblad flip to get it to the neutral zone and out of danger. Jones did it a few times last night. Might just be that Carolina is a lot slower than the Leafs, but there were lots of times in that series I was pissed because I thought man just flip it out and they’d try a pass that got cut off and turned over.

The Panthers definitely adjusted their zone exit and entry strategy a bit during the Leafs series and I think it was a huge contributor to the dominance in games 4, 5, and 7. Game 6, the Leafs just played out of their damned minds.

These guys are professional athletes. This is what they live for. Only thing that slows them are injuries, not the "amount" of games played.
