I go to Food and Wine every year , and no joke bunked into Callahan and Girardi when I was there. Lol.
We live in Winnipeg, 2080 miles away and were annual passholders up until covid. We would go a few times a year for 10 days to 2 weeks! Wife is a teacher, so we're kind of limited to when we can go, so we've only managed Food and Wine once, but we've been to Flower and Garden a lot, which is almost as good even though I'm not much into flowers or gardens!

This team just doesn't play real hockey.

They don't play hard, crisp, fast, fundamental hockey.

They think they know better.

They just cheat for chances based on what they consider good chances and basically let the opponent control the flow while they're waiting.

I'll give them a bit of credit because they've scored some goals and won some games going against the grain, but it's pretty clear to me at this point that it isn't a Cup winning philosophy.

Too be fair, this problem probably has held true for the last 20ish years. They haven’t ever been a team that moves the puck crisply. They haven’t ever had a game breaking talent who shows up in big games. It was Dubi, Cally, Staal, McD and G that brought the earlier iterations deep into the playoffs. Richards, Gaborik, even St Louis were passengers even compared to Zib and Bread. Thats how superfluous star talent outside of the pipes has been the past 20 years. It was like Cullye, Lafreniere, Vesey, Lindgren, Schneider being out top guys outside of the goal, except it was Dubi and Cally.

To whoever wants to not sulk (or for those like me who knew it was all over when Reinhardt scored in game 4), let's celebrate a good year: we won a ton of games, beat our hated rivals, Winter Classic Comeback, got Laf on track, great year by Bread, heroics in round 2 by Kreider, Igor was great, Quick was great. Goody made me eat my words.

Some bad for sure: Chytil going down, Fox going down, Trouba not a real player, the Lindgren mess all year, Kakko bad, K'Andre regressing to Dave Karpa status.

If we lost to Carolina, I think people would've been like "OK, I get it". But we won. That was fun.

Who cares what happens tonight? It's done. You all made my year VERY entertaining. Thanks for having me!

Still looking to make pretty plays instead of putting rubber on net in the playoffs……
They have to learn…, stop looking to stupid tick tack toe passes and hammer the puck on this guy. He’ll make mistakes
