That goal was really bad. Gus had an absolutely horrible shift and then Trouba just stormed out of the way

Does Lavi watch the games? How he could think that Gus is a better option than Jones at this point is beyond me.

NYR are not trash, they are not awful. They are lacking in some areas. Coachig is good. They finished top of the league and are a playoffs final 4 team.

The problem is they do not have the leadership or indeed the will to overcome a better team in this series. By all measures, this should have been over in 4 games. We've been THAT BAD.

I think our guys, if subconsciously, started thinking that a trip to the finals (or better) was preordained given the parallels with 1994. Turns out you need to work for your wins. Would have been cool.

To be honest, their bad play in Florida pretty much numbed me to this. Hard to get pumped up.

Yep, there’s not much indignation to be felt when it’s been as one sided as it has been. Can’t blame refs, coaching, injuries, etc. it’s pretty hard to feel any kind of hurt when the team simply … blew donkeys.
