Good news is Tampa played a great period, Rangers had their worst of the series, and it’s 0-0 after 20 on the road.

Tampa will push hard again but there’s no way they can sustain this pressure for 4-5 more games. Vas is their only hope. Rangers could have had 3 or 4 2-on-1’s

No harm, no foul. Sloppy period by us, but TB didn't look that great either. No onslaught at the beginning as expected.

That third line needs to play more.

Braun and Schneider have made me wince a few times.

This is gonna be one of those games. Tampa fighting for their lives, The Rangers trying to whether the storm and steal one on the road.

On the bright side I feel like Panarin is starting to come on.

We also pass way too much on oddman rushes. They’re predictable and getting broken up.

really? besides that terrible pass on the 2 on 1 i thought he was pretty good.

A lot of the look of this period from Tampa's offensive perspective is us not being able to chip it out, Cirelli line forechecking, and Kuch with the long shots.

We can handle a forecheck with crap shots (that's how we beat Carolina) but we must never miss a clear, not on the road.

Set up Kreider with a chance so good that he wasn't ready for it and made plays everywhere.

Decent period. Atrocious PP and Tampa got some control towards the end, but 0-0 on the road after 1st is a good result. Keep it up.

no idea what happens the rest of the game but I was shocked that TBL didn't have the ferocity that i thought they would have in this first period. TBL looked very mortal here when they should've looked like amped maniacs.
