I actually think Carolina is a stronger forechecking team than Florida.

The canes are in the way of speed and tenacity but the panther play a heavier and more impactful game and forecheck. They don't try to forecheck to create turnovers so much as they forecheck make sure that players will physically feel/remember that they played against the Panthers and that they wear them down physically to the point a players fatigue lends to mental mistakes.

It's part of why the canes have struggled in the playoffs bc they don't physically grind teams and they are more annoying then anything.
