It seemed like he could have come around farther and had a better shot as Tokarski was down though. Overall Nash looks good though lately.

Not a chance, man. Big man and momentum would never allow him to.

I agree, Nash did the best he could. Step wasn't offering enough puck support imo. He was too far outside of the slot.

I am really hating Steps play in this game so far.

Yeah, Steps should've been closer to the net.

mad mike spot on again. not good to get all those shots and not score. habs having it 0-0 going into the 2nd is all they could have hoped for.

great period by new York but the worst scenario possible.

We've seen it all series... New York puts on the pressure... can't score... then Montreal sneaks in a goal... game over. This is, *again*, the IDENTICAL scenario to most of the prior games in this series. If this pattern repeats again, then the outcome will be that these teams are headed for a game 7, which will also be the worst case scenario. If the Rangers lose tonight, and with this repetitive pattern it looks like they will, then the series is totally over - there's 0% chance they will win in Montreal - zero.

That said - I'm rootin for the Rangers, so they have to keep it together and find a way to break this pattern and find a way to pull this one out.

That's the case of one game of the series. Unless you watched a different game 1, 2 and 4 than the rest of us.

Stepan was great in game 5 but tongiht looks sluggish so far. I guess i cant get on him too much because of the jaw BUT i still dont know what he was doing on that PP

Once again, we're all about the quantity of shots, and not about the quality.

Keep it simple boys. Lets ****ing go.

Negative me says this is playing out exactly like some games the Rangers should have won but can't finish and let it slip away.

Positive me says this is playing out exactly like some big game 7s the Rangers have won in this building.

I don't think we flat out dominated them..we seem to let them come at us to much.. close the gap get pucks deep man on man and we got this

That Staal penalty was ridiculous. That's what every dman in the league does when a rush is coming in. Plekanec is the biggest diver in the league

I know that you can look at it as the Habs weathering the storm. After last game, I'm just happy to see the zone coverage is back to normal.

I noticed that every time a Ranger layers stick is around the feet of a Hab, they go down in a heap. Subban did it 3 times. Refs are not falling for it tonight.....so far.

Quite comical but typical to see Stepan being bashed.
Apart from Krieder, Stepan is that drafted top-2 line player Ranger fans have been waiting for.
There should be a field that shows the poster's age under their avatar.

We're playing in the Montreal zone for the most part, so it's all good. Just need a little luck now to pump one in and the gates will open.

mommy.....

I can't remember a team ever embellishing as much and as obviously as the habs. If I were a canadian I'd be incensed and embarassed that these guys are carrying my name

It seems to follow Michelle Therrien wherever he coaches. Pens were really bad when he was there.

Very tight checked period. Not alot of opportunity for anyone.

Also, as happy as I am to have the CBC feed, Don Cherry's brain is just ****ing mush
