I think only one, we have API access to EP so we have wide coverage over much of the leagues.
I like the idea of scaling ratings back on players, but it seems the Isles players didn't get the same hit players on other teams did. Are they not finished yet? They just seem out of line with comparisons to players on other teams.

I actually scaled them back because they kept performing too good, I’ll be starting testing and re rates on Monday. Going to start with Vegas/Florida and work my way down the playoff teams as the lottery teams were first last year.

You guys don’t pull up the editor when there’s a new roster update and pump up the potential of your favorite prospects?

Yeah me neither. :sarcasm:
To be fair I made EVERYONE potentially NHL viable as I believe it's one of the best classes we have in a long, long time, also its more fun!

I definitely didn’t mean that as an insult!

I did a recent play through where I made Nolan Patrick’s potential 200, for example. Haha

I also made a 3074326 Jr and he played with Bedard. My son had 152 points in his third year. As a single dude without kids, it’s the proudest dad moment I’ve ever had.

It’s just Sorokin
I think it's more than just Sorokin (who should be rated pretty high). It seems across the board. Just some comparisons of players I think are comparable to Isles players :

Name/PositionRatingPPG over last 3 Years
Matthew Barzal C174.83
Roope Hintz C158.98
Kyle Palmieri LW/RW150.50
Alex Killorn LW/RW150.71
JP Pageau C146.53
Vince Trocheck C146.74

I think it throws the DB a little out of whack. I totally appreciate the time and effort you put into creating this DB for free. It's a ton of work, and I'm not complaining, just trying to point out how it could be improved. I'm not saying the non-Isles players on this list should be raised, I just think it looks like players from 1 team weren't given the same sort of ratings whack.

Comparing the last roster to this one, it looks like about 75% of players across the league dropped 10 pts in OV. But less than 15% of NYI players had a 10 pt drop.

I wonder if I just missed them in that drop, ill adjust tonight and push, definitely not trying to be a homer the isles are in the mushy middle and don’t have a plan.

Really appreciate all the hardwork that has gone in to keeping this game alive. I first started playing EHM back in 2005 and fell in love with the game.

I did have a question regarding fantasy drafts - I find there is a tendenacy for teams to draft there own players/prospects in the fantasy draft, is there anyway to get the system to make the draft a bit more random?

Hmmm that’s a good question, it’s definitely game code. Those choices are provided from your key staff positions, I wonder if you also released all AGM/scouts/coaches if it would be more random. You would also have a hell of a staff free agent frenzy!

Has there been a solution to the disk space error?

"Unable to write data to disk, reasons being lack of disk space, file locked by system, or bad sectors on disk being written to.

Thanks

Common reasons this could happen:

1) Most likely cause is something preventing EHM from writing to disk, the most common thing I've seen is PC backup software (like Carbonite, Dropbox or OneDrive) backing up the save games folder to a cloud service while the game is trying to save the file. If you have anything running like that exclude the save game directory. If not see 2).

2) Change the save game location to somewhere else, this fixed my save game issues a while back. I use a secondary drive for my games so I moved the folder there, you can put the folder anywhere you want and just change it in the settings here, I would make sure the options on the top right are checked:

3) If you are not using an SSD as your game drive it's possible you do have an issue, I'd recommend downloading and testing with something like: StableBit - The home of StableBit CloudDrive, StableBit DrivePool and the StableBit Scanner

4) Very unlikely this is the case but if you are running EHM on a Virtual Machine that will always be problematic while saving.

Hey! Just experimenting with the editor, and I'd like to shuffle NHL players around teams to get them on new teams (like such draft game Off-Season Fantasy Draft #2 DRAFT THREAD )

I managed to do it in the editor, by searching every player and switching them teams.
But I saw online the possibility to export a CSV and import it back. Can I download the NHL rosters, clear them and put the correct names associated with each team?

If not, anyone has pointers to make the process a bit more straighforward? Ie. would downloading the CSVs of players be faster than going through each one in the editor?

Thank you very much!

Yes it would be, but only edit the CSV if you have the full version (not web) of Microsoft Excel.
