It's me with another project! I've never seen this error before, and the best I can see in my structures, I don't see a reason why I'm getting one, because the league I put together is completely copied, apart from being an 8-division, 2-conference league (64 teams). I have my conferences and divisions entered correctly.

OK, I don't know how I fixed my last problem, but this is my new problem:

Untitled.png

The schedule template isn't a problem, because the teams with 0 GP (and there's 6 other divisions of them), are playing the games but they're not registering in the standings (even though the L10 and STR columns are registering!). This is a problem I again have not seen before, and again have gone through everything and don't see what I'm missing.

I know the release of the new season of NHLX has been extremely delayed (unless you play in the Superstar series in which case V19 was using NHLX 22-23 Beta and the up-coming v20 will be using essentially the full release version) but I have actually been a busy bee tinkering and updating as usual.

Hoping to release the full version of this season's NHLX around the Christmas break - will have of course all new and updated logos, colours for teams and leagues both real and new. Expanded and modified league setups including for the Europa Super League, completely re-done ratings for major leagues including incorporation of mid-season form and as always just tons of rnew real life prospects for the future.

One of the exciting new adds is some expansion of the CHL. I've curated this pretty carefully to ensure the markets seemed somewhat plausible. The WHL expanded by 2 to 24, the OHL by 4 to 24 and the QMJHL by 2 to 22.

WHL EXPANSION
- The WHL is adding two teams: one in Maple Ridge, BC and one in Yakima, WA. This will create two balanced conferences of 12 each and 6 teams in both BC and the USA.

YEzOux7.png

Maple Ridge Twins
- The Maple Ridge Twins are based in Maple Ridge, BC. Maple Ridge is on the eastern edge of the Vancouver metro area and gives greater Vancouver a second WHL club. It has a growing population estimated at 95,000 and easy access to a large population center - with the new WHL club comes a new downtown arena.

The Twins are named for the famous peaks north of town, the Golden Ears. "Ears" didn't strike me as a particularly awesome though! They were original named the Golden "Eyries" for the Golden Eagles found near the summit so a custom logo featuring twin golden eagle heads representing the mountains was created.

9VI4ir9.png

Yakima Valley Hops
- The Yakima Valley Hops are located in Yakima, WA and continue the growth of hockey in the state, with the Seattle Kraken now in the NHL and WHL teams already in Seattle, Everett, Spokane and Kennewick. Yakima occupies a central location, boasts a metro area of over 255,000 and will call a refurbished SunDome home.

The Yakima Valley is a world-renown area for the agricultural cultivation of hops - the flavourful and aromatic ingredient in beer - and their colorful logo and green color scheme will certainly standout from the crowd!

fsBCMG9.png

OHL EXPANSION
- The OHL is adding four teams: two clubs are being "elevated" from Jr. A status, one is the return of a former Memorial Cup champions and one adds growth into an American NHL market. The 24 teams will create 4 divisions of 6 each and two conferences of 12.

mmUKgVK.png

Brantford 99ers
- The Brantford 99ers are being elevated from the OJHL. Brantford used to be home to the OHL's Brantford Alexanders. With a population of over 100,000 and centered within the fertile crescent of hockey west of Toronto that includes Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener and London - this was a no-brainer to me.

The 99ers of course get their name from Wayne Gretzky and I saw little reason to not to continue to pay homage to The Great One himself.

vJ15zWp.png

Newmarket Hurricanes
- The Newmarket Hurricanes also get elevated from the OJHL. With a population of close to 90,000 and easy access to the GTA - Newmarket brings exciting OHL action to the north side of the Toronto area.

Kept the name and logo because I frankly kinda love it. Don't have much more to say than that!

lKkomI0.png

Cornwall Royals
- The Cornwall Royals really are CHL royalty - they won the Memorial Cup three times in the 70's and 80's but actually did so as a member of the QMJHL (as a border city Cornwall is adjacent to both Quebec and New York state). But they eventually switched to the OHL and return here as an OHL club.

They of course keep the Royals name but with a modernized logo. The CCHL's Cornwall Colts get moved and re-branded as the Kanata Colts.

2BiJHZJ.png

Buffalo Braves
- The Buffalo Braves were actually an old NBA team but I'm bringing them back to life as an OHL club. I really love the idea of CHL teams in hockey crazed NHL markets so Buffalo gets to join Seattle, Portland and most of the Canadian NHL cities in offering both high level professional and junior hockey action.

I just love the "brand" and colors of the old NBA Braves so I've basically just leaned into that for Buffalo's look here.

CJjwodA.png

QMJHL EXPANSION
- The QMJHL is adding two clubs and switching to a 4-division, 2-conference format similar to the other two CHL leagues. I had to be careful here - I considered US expansion but between prep school, the NAHL, NCDC and collegiate hockey - the Q has never had much of a chance in the USA. In addition, places like Fredericton (UNB does not want a junior club) and St. John's (so far away and has the ECHL) and Trois-Rivieres (just got the ECHL) were off limits.

6cr9Na2.png

Edmundston Brayons
- Edmundston is a small city by CHL standards although there are a few comparable teams in similar markets already existing. What made Edmundston exciting was the extremely distinct micro-culture of the Madawaska region (which includes parts of Maine) - which is very French despite being in NB and very, very proudly and uniquely independent. The MHL's Blizzard club currently located in the city are moved to Corner Brook, NL in NHLX.

The Brayons are named for the people of the area and the logo is a modernized version of the Republic of Madawaska flag which is still flown in the area - with the eagles and stars. The unique color scheme continues to let these fans standout!

udQFgGi.png

Verdun Dragon
- I knew I wanted at least one team in the Montreal area to compliment Blainville on the north side. So Verdun, on the south side, seemed an appropriate choice especially because they just re-did their arena and the area is going through renewal from a less than glamorous past.

The Dragon take their name from the old LNAH semi-pro team but will sports a sleek new look in dark navy and electric blue. Verdun's got some potential to be a glamour franchise in the future with it's Montreal adjacency.

BrkDKbQ.png

CHL RULES CHANGES
- All leagues now play a 68 game schedule
- OA's have been bumped from 3 to 5 (to help fill rosters)
- Foreign players have been bumped from 2 to 3 (to help fill rosters)
- Expansion teams start with a semi-filled roster of real CHL free agents (some unattached, some playing for Jr. A teams in real life)

We need to have this patched to run every league possible with Pivot rosters since it is so addictive...until it crashes :(

When you add to this, does it disrupt the Import Draft or any other CHL/Memorial settings you might have to fix?

No issues that I can see, it just adds teams to the Entry and Import drafts (like expanded NHL adds teams to the NHL draft) and no issues with Mem Cup.

I will say even though import slots are expanded it does keep the Import Draft at two picks for each team but teams do now sometimes carry 3 imports in any given season.

Hey folks,

I recall Riz was planning to release the next version of EHM before the end of the year. Is that still the plan?
