CLB loss helping Montreal here, habs might be current favorite for the WC2 spot.
They need to win their games against Ottawa, Philly, Detroit and the Bruins.Montreal has control of their own destiny right now to get in. Two games in hand on the Rangers. One on Columbus and one on Detroit.
I've given up trying to predict the favorites in this race. It's a shitshow. Montreal is going in the right direction, but it's going to be an interesting week for them with Ottawa, NY Isles, and Colorado on the schedule this week. I had wrote off the Isles, depending on tonight's results Thursday could be a battle of position against Patrick Roy's team.CLB loss helping Montreal here, habs might be current favorite for the WC2 spot.
Unfortunately it's going to be the Rangers.
Their Regulation Wins is higher than anyone in contention with them. Only Montreal could pass them with the games in hand. The games played are playing against them. Everybody has less games played than them. they don't control their own destiny
They have a crazy amount of RW's compared to the field I don't think anybody will catch up to them in thatTheir Regulation Wins is higher than anyone in contention with them. Only Montreal could pass them with the games in hand.
Detroit is doing their part to fall behind, I think they are done.Montreal has control of their own destiny right now to get in. Two games in hand on the Rangers. One on Columbus and one on Detroit.
Habs with a 4 goal 3rd period to beat Sens in regulation is a good step for them, they gotta hope the NYR lose in regulation to the Flames.
I tend to agree and think the NYR might run out of games and watch teams pass them.Despite the loss, you can see Ottawa is a solid team. Would be shocked if they miss. I think its basically NYR-CLB-MTL for the last spot.
Sens got 1 more game against Montreal in Ottawa. Cope out, whatever you just know that's going to be a game Ottawa gives 'er and then some.Despite the loss, you can see Ottawa is a solid team. Would be shocked if they miss. I think its basically NYR-CLB-MTL for the last spot.
Ottawa in
Columbus in
Habs just miss
Rangers just miss
Detroit just miss
Steve Valiquette on MSG network described this 2-1 loss against the Flames as the most "toxic," "listless" game he's covered in his years at the network, so I'd say the Rangers are done.I tend to agree and think the NYR might run out of games and watch teams pass them.
While having Barzal injured and trading Brock hurts, they do finally have a full healthy defense which is something that hindered them the bulk of the seasonI’m guessing Sens get WC1 and Habs get WC2 . I’m surprised to see the Islanders are still hanging around.
Probably but the other teams need to get wins in those games in hand and then the NYR will feel the squeeze.Steve Valiquette on MSG network described this 2-1 loss against the Flames as the most "toxic," "listless" game he's covered in his years at the network, so I'd say the Rangers are done.
