Eastern Conference Wild Card Watch

Yes Ullmark is the best out of the three. But Forsberg is also the worst out of the three. When you look at the tandem speaking, Talbot and Lyon's goals saved above expected per 60 is better than Ullmark and Forsberg.
You're not winning every game regardless. I'd much rather start Ullmark 80% of the remaining games and take those odds.

And come playoff time.. it's like that saying about QBs... if you think you have two starters you really have none.

Habs and Bruins in the playoffs is what Hockey is all about. Those series ALWAYS boil over.
Are they going to have a special exhibition for this as Boston is slowly slipping out of a spot and a loss against the canes tonight might seal their fate.

Right now Bruins are 3 points out and teams have 2 games in hand and there are 3 teams they are chasing as well.

Habs are sitting better but are still outside looking in after a 5 game win streak and they will have a valley to their recent peak so......

Teams just need to keep winning and some will start to lag behind even with a single loss like if Detroit and Columbus win tonight and the Habs and Bruins lose the hill just gets stepper with less games to do it in.

Bettman math is usually a suckers game.

NJ is not far enough ahead.
They are actually with 5 points up and RW win advantage over most teams barring a complete collapse.

And if Detroit and Columbus both lose and the Habs win the hill will have been taken over. No matter what team squeaks in i don't see them going past the 1st rd.

Sure the bigger hill is for Boston though, they are in must win territory

I tend to agree with that but every year there seems to be an upset or 2 so who knows.

Red Wings fighting hard for the middle of the pack draft pick again. So depressing, it's a constant yearly cycle.

Detroit is out of the race

Every year in March they absolutely collapse

Loser mentality is everywhere in this organization
well with them squandering a 2-0 dominating lead last night and watching the Sens beat NYR in a 3 point game they have to be down in Detroit,

I think it's time for

Nj giving themselves some breathing room with a 3-1 win over Philly who are down, wonder when Torts gets fired.

I have to say that CBJ are surpassing my expectations this season. I was expecting them to be in the bottom quarter of the league, with what happened in the off season. I'm impressed by their results this season, and they've had their share of injuries to key players also.
Also Evason is a great coach. If Sens don't make it, CBJ are who I'm cheering for.

indirectly taking a shot at this franchise and it’s past history… “you can tell columbus is a new hockey market” … so original! good stuff! we’re actually not a new hocket market. we’ve been around since 2000. we’ve gained quite a bit of recognition and ‘new fans’ because of the unfortunate passing of our beloved JG but that doesn’t mean columbus hasn’t had a hockey market before johnny’s passing.

I can tell you know absolutely nothing about our franchise; it’s comical actually.

i’ll say it again, absolutely demolished. from start to finish.
Sens fan here. I remember watching the CBJ/TBL playoff series where CBJ swept the TBL thanks to Bob. What a series that was. That was when I started paying attention to that franchise, + they're very likeable.

Is Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield the hottest line in hockey right now? I think Montreal getting in as WC2 would set up a pretty good matchup. I can still remember 15 years ago when the Habs upset a #1 Washington team, and turned Montreal into an absolute street party.
