So yeah, that Skinner guy... and the news that management sees no problem with him. Anyone else getting the sense that the same issues are occurring regardless of who is in charge? I wonder the upper guys are trying to meddle again. That, or Jackson just isn't as good as we thought. But I prefer the conspiracy theory, so I choose to believe that instead.

Great brewery, went to school (junior high) with one of the co-owners. They have a (what I think is a new release) English Mild that's going to be in a certain beer advent calendar, and it's very good.

Edit: for anyone wondering, I'll do a shameless plug here, the brewery is Bent Stick on 99th st

My Bold prediction: Nurse's return bolsters our D-Corps and we squeak one out against NY!

Oilers win 4-2

Hop gravy is more like the hopy beers I used to drink in Portland when the kid was going to school there.

Whoever starts in net, please save the first 5 shots. That's all I ask.

Thanks

For clarity, I'm referring to the Oilers starter :naughty:

Jackson isn't as good as we thought on Canada Day. He totally got schooled blowing all of his load on aging forwards in the search of more goals instead of improving team defense and goaltending depth when the team was virtually unbeatable last year when they keep the opposition to 2 or less. As a result the team lost a lot of its youth, took a huge hit on the backend and never built a backup plan for if goaltending went sideways. But we got more old guys that used to score, hooray!!!

I'd also like to see some kind of save inside the final 10 minutes of the game even if it's a decent scoring chance for NY and it's still a close game.
