GDT: Eagles @ Ducks | 8pm MT | Let’s Get This Over With So We Can Get to Playoffs

I missed pretty much this entire game. Sat down with the wife to watch Reacher season 3 instead. We're only about halfway through.

What an absolute shitshow Anaheim is. Unreal. Avs came in with a total scrub roster that was going out of its way to just not get anymore hurt, they literally did not care if they won this one. Meanwhile, Anaheim has a chance to finish strong at home, jumped out to a 2-0 lead through two periods, and proceeded to give up FOUR in the third. Just a total dipshit franchise dressed like pylons. I thought maybe Verbeek would be a better GM than Murray (didn't think anyone outside of Chiarelli could be much worse) but I'm beginning to wonder if he's better at all.

Anyway, sounds like a really good showing by Aamodt, and in front of his family no less. Good for that guy, I hope there's a roster spot for him next year.

Now I guess we wait and hope the extra time off healed some injuries.

I am not down on his production. I am down on the way he battles. He loses the puck way to0 easily for my taste. Plays die on his stick very often. I just expected more from him as far as controlling the puck is concerned.

I'm not too worried about it yet--the team seemed to find a good fit for him before guys started getting injured. I am way, way more concerned about literally every single scoring line winger dealing with injury, and it's clear both Nuke and Lehky have been dealing with stuff long before they were rested.

He is definately a player who exceeds expectations with correct linemates like Necas and Lehky. He is horrible with linemates who does not suit to his playstyle.

Thats why I still wonder why JB is experimenting some other combinations since those are the only guys he does contribute massively.

A bit like Rants was. A key player with certain linemates and horrible with others.

Nelly isn't a play driver. He's a triggerman and face-off guy, who goes to the front of the net. That's why he looked so good playing with Necas (play-driver) and Nuke/Lehky (dirty area guys)

Thank you. Nelly isn’t going to be a play driving Nuke and I’m unsure what others expect of him. Can Nelly also play first line wing?

I don't think anybody is expecting him to be a play driver. Not all players can be. With that said it is possible to win more battles along the boards and be better at cycling the puck than he is at those things without being a play driver.

Why was this motherf***er never given a game when we were swapping CDH, Kylington, Ludvig and every other SHIT defender? Something is very rotten with who and how the Avs call up players.
