OT: EA Franchise Mode

Haven’t touched one in years. Online is complete garbage. I try to stick lift, it’s hooking or tripping. I try to hit someone, it’s elbowing or charging. What’s the point?

The gameplay mechanics have been absolutely brutal since NHL15. They ruined their skating engine and never fixed it. I was an avid EA NHL enjoyer for their peak games (NHL10-NHL14) but I haven't owned an EA NHL game since NHL20 I think and even then, I don't think I've bought consecutive titles since NHL13/14.

Really wish EA had some competition in the space to force them to try again.

The historic teams they had were great. I would love to play as the 13 hawks vs the 2020 lightning and so on. Instead we just got a bunch of half assed all time teams with many teams not even having their best players on said all time teams

I wish you could go on an EA website and customize all the rosters there, then upload them to your system. It’s so painstaking using their slow UI in the menus. If you want to do something cool like make those custom rosters it’ll take you days

NHL 16 when the PlayStation 4 came out sortve killed it for me and admittedly I aged out a bit.

A bit OT, but I've always enjoyed HLM25 (and all the previous ones). Hockey legacy manager. I think it's as good as any GM hockey game and I've played most of them. Worth the $5.
