E. Kane doesnt have the same value he once had with all his off ice issues, injuries and offensive struggles in his past few seasons.
And we know the Buffola GM wants to get rid of him, so how about a trade to mtl who badly needs a LW to compliment Pacs and the second line.

So Kane (5.25M$ for 2 yrs) for Desharnais (cap dump, 3.5M$, 1 yr) + McCarron and a third round pick.

:habs
E. Kane
:sabres
Desharnais
McCarron
3rd round pick in 2017.

Is Mtl off in value? Is McCarron too good of a prospect for Kane? Or is this even?

P.S. I know kane has similar issues to Subban, but Mtl did bring in Radulov^^ :D

Replace mccaron with Emelin, and the 3rd with a 2nd.

lol no way Buffalo acquires 2 useless pieces, emelin is useless for a rebuilding team, esp one that has too many defensemen, for kane. Plus they would acquire too much money just to acquire a 2nd rounder.

McCaron is to valuable to give up for E.kane so I rather replace him with a 2nd or a lesser prospect like juulsen

Bergevin would never ever acquire kane even if hes a good hockey fit. Just doesnt fit the old school hockey mindset they are imploring. Kane has too many off ice issues and MTL would be a terrible city for him! He needs to mature and settle down!

Montreal doesn't "badly" need a left winger. They're not paying shaw 4 mill to play on the third line. If he doesn't work out, they have many kids to battle for that spot. What Montreal really needs is a puck moving defencemen to play along with Weber. Almost every team in the NHL has weak spot in their top six. Pittsburgh won the cup with Sheary and rust playing in the top six. So, it's just a waste to aquire a winger.

Also, there's no chance Bergervin will aquire Kane. He's a mess off the ice. He traded subban because of his personality, it's impossible he will want Kane,

there have been many well trusted sources linking kane to bergevin such as tsn, tfp and others.

So you want to offer crap for him even though his value might be low they can get better than crap

As a Sabres fan, I don't want any of that stuff from Montreal. I'd buy him out before making this trade.

how is a third and 1rst round prospect worth less than a buyout?? You get DD for just 1 year and with less money.
Damn logic in hf is really bad

Alright then, just to play devil's advocate, 2nd for Kane.

In all seriousness though, us habs fans don't want DD, so nobody else will. Maybe Vegas heh.

As a previous poster mentioned, we didn't acquire Shaw for nothing. He will slot into our 2LW. Radulov is now 30, and I'm sure matured past the point of having any issues he MIGHT of had. Our top-6 is upgraded and set.

To reaffirm, our #1 need is a first pairing puck-moving-D, which we should not bother wasting assets on as we are hopefully a year removed from our 9OA brandishing just this. Habs stay put, make a move/cap dump for Shipachyov in Dec.

After what happened with kassian last year, forget it. Bergevin would never do thqt. I reqlly wanted kane last year, but now I would avoid him at all cost.

We don't really all know that Buffalo's trying to get rid of Kane. I'd be surprised if the legal thing outweighs the massive hard-on Murray had for him just a year ago, judging by the price he paid. I doubt he's available beyond the "we take calls on every player" kind of sense.

As a Sens fan, the OP is a huge overpayment by the Habs.

Kane has zero value. IF he does get traded for anything of value, I guarantee the team trading for him regrets the decision.

And they couldn't get rid of Kassian fast enough . Kassian wasn't even in **** with the law time and time again like Kane . Kane value is at an all time low . If he keeps going the way he is his career will be the 18 wheeler going over the cliff "within 2 years " . I hope he gets his act together .
