Calvin Pickard making a glove save Saturday night against the Stars

The Colorado Avalanche made some big moves to put them over the top, but so far things haven't necessarily gone as well as planned. But thats not to say things have gone bad either. They sit 4th in their division, with a 30-18-7 record. The division this year is extremely tight though. With one win, they could be sitting atop the division. Unlike last year, the team has been healthy, except Travis Hamonic, who has suffered multiple injuries throughout the season. And now, there are rumours swirling around that the Avs may be shopping Varlamov, with the emergence of Calvin Pickard, who has been stellar this season, post a 19-6-0 record with a GAA of 1.76 and a SV% of .941.

[Winnipeg, MB] - The Winnipeg Jets have cleaned house. The team has announced the firing of GM Kevin Cheveldayoff today, and also said that Paul Maurice will not get an extension. Instead, they have hired Mark Hunter as General Manager and Dale Hunter as head coach.

"We are extremely happy to be apart of this organization. The fans here are exceptional, and we want to build a team that they can cheer for. These fans deserve the playoffs" Said Mark Hunter.

"We put people in place in London that we are comfortable with. We will check in on them during the season, but our main focus is this team and making them successful." said Dale Hunter, when asked about the London Knights.

[Winnipeg, MB] - The Winnipeg Jets have announced they have traded Michael Frolik, Grant Clitsome and a 2016 3rd to the San Jose in exchange for Chris Tierney and Tommy Wingels.

"Chris is obviously a guy we know a lot about. He plays for the Knights and is a kid we wanted under our control. We think he has the potential to be a key forward for this team in the future. Wingels is a young guy we really wanted. He is a solid two way player and we are very happy to have him."

Tommy Wingels played in 42 games last season, notching 13 points.

Frolik played in 45 games last season, only getting 10 points, while Clitsome played in 44 games and got 16 points.

2019-2020 Regular Season Preview

The Buffalo Sabres are coming into the Regular Season on a high note, going 6-0-1 in Preseason. Nikita Kucherov was the leading scorer getting 6 goals and 7 assists (13 points). Just a day before the Regular Season was set to start, a big trade was made. In that trade, the Sabres shipped away a struggling foward. GM Nutjob held a press conference for the trade.

"Thank you all for coming. I have gathered everyone here to announce a trade. I strongly believe this transaction will contribute to our success her in Buffalo for many years to come. With that said, let's take a look at the trade."

Is there a way to turn off the Scouting notifications when simulating? Can I just set it to automatic rather than having to press continue all the time?

Is there a way to turn off the Scouting notifications when simulating? Can I just set it to automatic rather than having to press continue all the time?

No, unfortunately. It does get in the way when you are trying to simulate through large chunks of the season.

You can just leave the scouting alone and your scout will go do his own thing, but if you've already been interrupted by him you might as well take the 5-10 seconds to send him somewhere.

2014-15 NHL Season - December Update:

December and November have been very good for the Philadelphia Flyers after a slow start in October as they've gone 20-8-1 in the two month span. The offseason acquisitions of Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Brandon Gormley, and TJ Brennan have made the D-core much more mobile than it was last year. Steve Mason has drastically improved on his awful 2013-14 campaign as well.

"Ed expected us to win 39 games this year and we're already halfway there after 35 games, that being said there's always room for improvement if it makes sense for us to do so." - GM Brian Burke

Injuries:
No significant injuries in December
