Dylan Strome has finally arrived

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I get Chicago was rebuilding when they let him go but why weren’t they able to trade him for something? Or resign on a short deal with the intention of playing him a lot, to boost his value and trade him for a boat load of picks at the following deadline or offseason. I was surprised when they let him go for nothing but I hadn’t watched him much in Chicago so I assumed they knew he was mostly a product of playing with Kane similar to many other hawks forwards throughout the years. But he’s obviously im Washington he’s proven Chicago wrong and letting him go for nothing seems more puzzling than ever. Either was it’s been great to see him with Ovechkin finally live up to his draft pedigree.

It was reported multiple times that the Hawks tried to trade him for 2 years and nobody wanted to offer value.

Ovechkin, the team’s captain, brought his two line-mates in for a film study of their shifts against the Vegas Golden Knights to try and spark a connection between the three. All they have done since is fill up the net.
“We just watched the whole game and talked about where we can find each other on the ice and where we can be more open,” Strome said Tuesday. “After the third or fourth game, it’s kind of been clicking a lot better.

He is also leading the league in +/- and is tied for 2nd in even strength points with Mackinnon. If the Capitals power play can get going his numbers will be even better, they have 4 of the top 11 players in the league in even strength points.
