I don't see a trade making sense. Off the top of my head, I could see Buffalo being interested if they want to begin their build up to playoff contention, but he'd be in pretty much the same boat as Detroit, albeit with the Sabres maybe being a bit further along with Dahlin, Power and Thompson.
Getting Buffalo's #1 pick in this draft would help reset Detroit's rebuild as guys like Larkin - in this scenario - combined with Kane and DeBrincat would be guys who would age out as Detroit starts to hit their window with a core comprised of guys like Raymond, Seider, Ed, ASP, Kasper, and hopefully Cossa, Augustine, MBN and Danielson.
I don't see Larkin getting moved unless he wants to improve his chances at winning a Cup, and it's not clear Buffalo is going to have better odds than Detroit over the next 5 or so years.

Doesn't make sense for Buffalo to move the first for him this year. Top 5 potential pick isn't moving. Something like Kulich prospect and 2026 first maybe.

That's fine, but a PPG, 30 goal, rock solid 2-way center in his prime and signed for 6 more seasons for a top 5 pick would be good business both ways. But again, I don't see Larkin forcing a move unless it's for a team that has much better odds at winning a Cup than Detroit or Buffalo over the duration of that contract.
It's almost like something significant happened in the 2017-2018 season that would cause attendance to be lower...

Capacity % has been on the decline in recent years - not just total attendance. Went from averaging 100% when they were in the Joe and the first year of ceasers, to around 95% in recent years.
Obviously there are external factors but statistically since Larkin was named captain, butts have been taken out of seats.
Come next year if Wings are not in a WC spot by Christmas then ship him and everyone else out except Seider, Raymond, Ed, and Kasper. Roll the dice for McKenna.

We're currently 23 overall in the standings, 1st overall lottery eligible. Take out Larkin and Cat we will go down even further.

Being serious though I'd rather send Larkin away for a chance at McKenna. Unless Yzerman does something drastic to improve this team Larkin will be in his 30s by the time we are ready to compete.
Yeah bruh, trading away Larkin and leaving your center depth at Kasper/Compher/Copp/Danielson for the foreseeable future would provide all the lawls.
They go to see the team win. And without him, we’re not winning many games.
Preferably one from the Detroit area who would be likely to spend the rest of his career there.

I don't think I would go see anyone specifically. Much more fun with two teams facing eachother than just one guy skating around on his own.
I personally would do it 10/10. I would argue Buffalo adding Larkin is enough to get them in. This team is way better than its record. The inconsistencies are maddening, and Larkin would help. Misa or Hagens could easily become a Larkin if Detroit has a quick retool.
