1. In theory anyone for sale at any time [nmc/ntc notwithstanding] if too much on the table to turn down.

2. As a practical matter, given cap, low supply league wide of most desirable assets for trade currency, #1 above is less common than otherwise.

3. The above notwithstanding, while Rs would love to add Larkin like everybody else, don't see we can def provide top offer. Maybe, but i doubt it.

4. If for real Seider, but would have to wait til nex year when nmc->limited ntic and can then do Trouba ++ for Seider +

Larkin, Seider, Reimond , Walman, should be core for this team fo many years to come. Id trade our best prospect Edvinsson for Nylander.

Things aren’t looking good in the D. With the Yzerplan in limbo and hypothetically the Wings tear it down. What would your best offers be for the hometown captain and any other players. Everyone is for sale.

I'll trade you one of these for posting this on the main forum.

Detroit
sigh...why are we like this?

Sorry, everyone! We left the backdoor open to our forums and a bunch of them got out! Our bad! Nothing to see here. We'll just wrangle them up and get them back inside. Looking forward to the potluck on Thursday!

I laughed out loud reading this...well done

Player whose only major injury was a Jamie Benn crosscheck to the neck has health concerns? He's missed more than 10 games a season twice in his career.
He crumpled recently from very minimal force. It's common after having concussion issues that you're more sensitive to future events.

Larkin is going to be blown up again at some point. And when I say that I don't mean the classic dirty large hit. I don't necessarily mean a cross check to his head/neck area. I mean.. IMO, he can't handle the contact safely anymore.

My take. I don't want that to happen to anyone. But he crumpled from nothing, man. After he had missed time due to shit done to him. I've seen it way too many times. Larkin best hope that clears up. It's definitely a huge risk not only for him, but for his organisation or any considering his services.

It’ll obviously never happen. The wings being incredibly disappointing brings up a nice What if situation.
They’re like 2pts out of a playoff spot. They haven’t played well at all recently, but are still hanging on.

If you expected more that’s a you problem.

When else has he ever had a diagnosed concussion?

Bergeron missed almost an entire season with a concussion and went on to win like, every Selke…

I'm not sure I see a hill I'm trying to die on. Not saying Larkin isn't going to be fine or isn't currently fine right now.

I saw a guy miss time. Happened to see him crumple from a nothing, everyday hockey physicality situation..

It just struck me as "ah f***..". Hopefully he'll have a wicked remaining career. I did say it was just my take.. I don't wanna say it's 100% the reality or anything.

Wish him well!

if you are happy with their performance than that’s a you problem as well. Do you see this team as a contender in 2-5 years? i don’t

Just really, really strange to say a guys career is close to over and he’s “damaged goods” because he missed like 4 games…

When Danielson, Kaspar, Edvisson, Cossa/Augustine, Mazur, ASP, etc get closer we’ll know better. But saying the whole thing is horrible because they’re sitting justnout if a playoff spot in a season where they were expected to battle for a wildcard spot at best is really strange.

Just like the Lion drama queens from last week.
The league kicked the call and then put out a shame film saying "We didn't screw up you did". It's not the Lions being drama queens when fanbases around the league are saying it was blown. Anyone still calling for it to be reversed and us be given a win is a drama queen, but the response from the NFL is embarrassing on so many levels.

It’ll obviously never happen. The wings being incredibly disappointing brings up a nice What if situation.

It really doesn't though. Team was playing well and then a good chunk of players, including both of their top two goalies got injured all at pretty close to the same time. There is no sense in blowing up what the Wings are doing. They had a nightmare late November through December and they're still one point out of the wildcard. And the teams that everyone and their mom :eek::eek::eek:es about having so much young wonderful talent ready to run the league for a decade (Ottawa and Buffalo) are 14 and 6 points back respectively. Again, that's after the Wings had one of their worst months in quite a while due largely to injuries happening in rapid succession. Plus, the farm system still has a boatload of young talent. Hell, if you were to sell off all of Detroit's NHL level talent, you wouldn't even have room for the futures that you're ideally picking up.

Those better be some incredibly massive pluses that you're attaching to Trouba. As in, one of the pluses would actually be the centerpiece of the deal and Trouba a toss-in.

Nobody can do that. 2-5 years from now, the Wings have Larkin, Debrincat, Compher, and I'm going to assume Seider and Raymond under contract on long term deals. They have nobody else locked up yet. Literally, they could potentially turnover 80% of their roster by 3 years from now. So, how on Earth are you supposed to proclaim them to be a contender then? We have a great prospect pool that are continuing to develop but aren't ready yet.

Depending on how critical we need to create cap, Trouba may/may not be moved, and DET is likely where he would want to go and where we would accommodate,
I don't expect Larkin or Seider to be available, let alone affordable

I specified Mo as a courtesy reply to OP
Yes agree if actually Seider would have to be VERY BIG
