Friedman: Dylan Larkin requests trade

Well I guess we would see how bad Larkin wants out out. No wings fan is gonna be mad at yzerman for not taking a shit return for their captain.
Easy to say now. When the team is 5 points out of playoffs in mid-November it is quite another.

I don't think anything will happen until after playoffs.
I like to see him between Tkachuk brothers, it will be crazy nuts line

I feel like that’s been obvious from the start
Gonna be a big something. Even though I do believe that the Larkin deal will be a loss for the Wings on the day of the deal, that doesn't mean he's going to be sold off cheap. McTavish is definitely a depreciated asset so the Ducks probably aren't gonna like who they have to add.

But like I said on the Wings forum to you, I'm not really sold that the Ducks need to trade for Larkin in the first place. Are they in a position to compete in the next three years with their current group with Larkin? The Pacific is wide open for the most part, and Larkin certainly would be a move to cement the Ducks' position.

Maybe the locker room risk of keeping him around is when he starts killing younglings.

Would anyone do Boldy+Yurov+Stramel for Larkin+Debrincat?
Boldy is so good, would love to have him. The added benefit is that with this move we'd basically insure a bottom 5 finish next season with Andrew Copp as the presumptive 1C, so we'd be able to draft a high end C prospect finally.

But if I was the Wild it'd be really hard to include Boldy in any move. He's a stud.

Any move is going to ensure an underwhelming 1C next year and probably more.

I wouldn’t trade Boldy for any combination of redwings
the fact that his contract runs at that price until the '30 season kind of makes him untouchable. points per dollar during this period is going to be insane. and as i keep whining about we need that value if we are going to pay Quinny
