It’ll be EP40

Honestly if Detroit took some assets from the MN trade and landed him whilst keeping Yurov…

Debrincat - EP40 - Raymond
Kasper - Yurov - Kane?

You can do worse.
It’s nearly impossible to do worse.

I made fun of Wings fans and management for defending not making a move for 43 when he wanted to be there and they’d missed the playoffs so much. He is a special player.

I’d rather have Nurse’s contract than 40’s. Betting on a 40 return is a pure prayer from people who haven’t watched him play in 3 years.

Wings would be best off taking a short term step back and hoping they strike gold in the lottery.

I know, it’s his career in the hands of a GM that his lost his touch. He’s spent a decade there bleeding for the team and now he’s just a 2c, a quitter, and a locker room cancer. I don’t blame him or any athlete in their position for trying to take control of their own career.

I'm pretty sure nobody in this thread has thrown around the phrase "Locker room cancer" more than you lol.

Feels like ever since the Quinn Hughes trade there's been this expectation out of Minny that they can package off their remaining assets and get the 1C they really want.
are we making all these trade proposals with that in mind? i honestly don't know. They haven't stood out to me if Wild fans are spamming the trade forum looking for 1Cs

So…the best case scenario is either total locker room destruction or simply not having the player or any return in the lineup…with a GM who should have already been fired surely being out by Christmas when that lands them at the bottom of the East immediately…and that’s…the leverage?

The leverage is stay here and get us another 12-17 pick ....

He’s a fine fit for Minnesota because we have a need ….hes a fringe 1c who puts up 60pts. He’s not Mack or Celebrini …he’s going to get fair offers and maybe teams will overpay but I wouldn’t want to
I mean over the last 4 seasons he paces at a 76 ppg.... prob a bit disingenuous to call him a 60 pt player.

Tho he is 30, prob going to start trending in the wrong direction (kinda has started to do so already at least 5 on 5)

I dunno, if Dylan Larkin could somehow manage to look more depressed than he typically does, the affect on the locker room could raise that pick!

Tall task though. Dude spends 90% of his days looking like somebody shot his dog.
Maybe yzerman did shoot his dog and thats why he demanded the trade.... have you ever stopped and considered

Heavily relies on speed his entire career.

He honestly may be doing Yzerman a favor forcing him to trade before the inevitable decline lol.

Thats my big caution as an anaheim fan.... a guy that relies on speed hitting 30 starts to become a potential issue. Just look at a guy like Kreider

Im sure hed still be a solid player... and he doesnt need to be a 1c in Anaheim during that time which would help soften it.

I dunno if Kreider declined as much as he just had a couple great seasons thanks to an absurd PP.

Im just mostly trying to figure out who me and my boy shane pinto should bet on as far as what team larkin ends up on.
Completely unpredictable at this point because I have a feeling there's 20 teams that want him and who knows which he'll say yes to.

I honestly think my preferred destination is becoming Utah and trying to pry Desnoyers out of there.

I realize that's probably a fantasy but we shake our heads at NHL GMs all the time.

If yzerman can get des for larkin, bravo to him. I just dont think teams trade top young center prospects tho.

Its way too risky until you have a better idea of what their upside is.

Depends if you are trying to compete immediately or patient. Cooley/Larkin is a solid duo for the next few years.
