Holloway was always the prize in my opinion. I have said it from the moment it happened. Whay broberg has done has been a bonus, although hopefully he doesn't become injury prone, but I still can't believe the blues got Holloway for free. Especially after watching last years playoffs.

Perry was going to be signed anyway. I think the reason they didn't match Holloway's offer sheet was simply sour grapes on the part of Oiler management. Or ownership. Somebody took it personally.
I think they didn't sign him as they saw him as a player who played too much on the outside and who didn't add enough value + had question marks whether he would actually be worth the cap hit. They wanted someone more nitty/gritty playoff type.

Was the first thing Bowman had to deal with and he botched it.
Broberg leaving always made sense with that contract.
Letting Holloway walk has been atrocious.

Let's be fair, the table was set by Bowman's predecessor and current boss, Jeff Jackson. Jackson signed Henrique/Skinner/Arvidsson to the tune of 10M total. Jackson also chose not to sign Broberg/Holloway early in the summer to their ask (which was much lower than the offer sheets, obviously).

Bowman didn't fix it, but he isn't the one who broke it.

No but letting Holloway go is on him.
They didn’t sign him cause they rather acrue cap space for the deadline which they have used on Klingberg.
