I am from and live in Whitehorse, so I'm stoked. We've done some business with him and I've played against his dad lots, so this feels pretty close to home in a way the NHL never has. So many texts and status updates about it already. Yukoners are pumped!
to hell with fans in Quebec City. Sens are going after Whitehorse!

One thing that intrigues me is when his GM shared that Couzens would come to them acknowledging he needs to play better and asks what he needs to do to grow. That paired with the workhorse nickname shows he has the right mentality to find his game but Buffalo was just poor at developing young players and not being able to coach him.

His 5on5 production will pprobably suffer here, but his PP will improve, and there's a high chance his overall plaay improves as well.

He will improve our 5 v 5. I guarantee that. He goes to the net.

Well, that's one thing we definitely need. So far, Brady is the only one on the team that goes to the net consistently. Need more guys willing to get a few bruises to score some greasy goals. Not many clean snipes in the NHL.

I'm still kinda holding my breath with this whole trade, but also cautiously optimistic that maybe the post-Buffalo rebound thing everyone is talking to is a real thing. I hope so.

Think he’ll be a solid 25g-35a guy for the Sens.

He’s a year older than Grieg, who many here would agree still has a lot of development to undergo, and he’s also on a much longer development curve.

Get adjusted to a new, functional system, some surrounding support, and hit the rest on the past season and a half.

He’s played with Buffalo his entire career. It won’t be shocking to see him go on a run to finish out this year. There’s a reason players leave Buffalo and find immediate success, individually and in the team environment.
