Hopefully he resumes his 30g 30a form here and that Green helps him develop his shit defense.

Where is the one place he has "underperformed"? Buffalo. Even then, he scored 30 goals and almost 70 points

  • He led team Canada in points in WC last year. 2nd 2 years ago (after Batherson who led them in points btw).
  • He led both tournaments in goals btw.
  • He had double the points of next highest player in WJC putting up historic performance.
  • He has killed it everywhere else.
  • Reinhart the year he left Buffalo was pacing 61 points through 82 games. The year after in Florida he scored 82 points in 78 games lol.
  • Eichel was denied important surgery by Buffalo. 2 years later he won the cup as playoff leading scorer.
  • O'Rielly the year he left had 61 points in 82 games and -23(6th worst on the team). The year after he won cup and had 77 points and won the Selke.
  • Cozens is just turned 24.
  • He's only in year 2 of 7 year deal which could be hell of a steal in couple of years
  • Makes less.

To be honest folks, I think this could be seen as one of the best moves in Sens history in a few years.

The only thing I'm worried about is his defense. He must shore that up. He is probably notably the worst among their entire top 6.

ummm he has scored 77 goals career. I hope he can score 30 but for now hope he can score 20 because he has only managed that once

Is the Yukon a potential market for Andlauer’s fan expansion plans? Should we pivot from Quebec City!? Is there a local jersey we can cut in half and sew to ours?

He may be ass defensively, but Buffalo has been shite defensively as well.

Loads of players leave buffalo and take strides in their development and no reason to think Cozens can't become responsible in his own end under Green.
 
I think he's actually been fine defensively away from Buffalo. Small and old sample sizes, but I think he would be a great fit with Batherson and a defensive conscience on their LW. Sabres fans also seem to think he's a better fit at wing so maybe this is the sniper for Timmy we've all been clamoring for.

Well I designed my team's Beer league jerseys, so they can split it with my team!

We did have that northern tour up here years ago where a handful of Senators players came up.

I tend to think Green and Ullmark have a better assessment of him than fans, and they said he’s a good two way player. We’ll see though, I haven’t seen him enough.

Read the GDT during Batherson’s struggles and you would think he’s an absolute scrub. Sometimes fans have very emotional takes so I take that stuff with a grain of salt.

Speaking of Batherson, since they’re good friends already, hope they have instant chemistry right off the bat. Could be a fun duo.

I would like to see him tried at RW beside Stutzle.

Feel like his skillset would fit better there and they could form a nice duo.

Is Cozens going to play C or RW? Does he replace Norris on the 2nd line C spot or does he replace Giroux on the top line & play with Timmy?

Do they promote Pinto to the 2nd line or leave him on the 3rd line C spot? Moving Pinto up might make room for Halliday on the 3rd line C spot & Ostapchuk on the 4th line C spot.

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Cozens
Giroux - Pinto - Batherson
Greig - Halliday - Perron
????? - Ostapchuk - Amadio

Pinto/Greig wouldn't be a bag duo down the line tbh. I'm high on Greig I still think he has room to grow

I think cozens is better than pinto now and for the next while. We’ll see. Greig should move to the wing though.
