Accurate. I was in the building for Bogosian’s first game and he portrayed one incredible monster of a defenseman that night that never really turned up again after that.

There have been some memorable first games for new Sabres who didn't amount to much...Two off the top of my head are Doug Smith and Steve Bernier.

They played Philly that night, Bogo was an absolute beast out there.

Yeah I was wrong about Cole, but I have no confidence he would be as prolific at scoring here in Buffalo.

I wouldn’t put too much weight into hit stats. I don’t even know why they keep track of it. Different arenas count them wildly differently.
