Thanks for killing St. Louis. And the smile was creepy as **** but you helped change the culture here and for that I appreciate you, but your time here was up. Happy trails cowboy King.

Thanks for being so good.

Thanks for sitting on Lundqvist during the finals and scoring a goal.

I can't remember against which team it was, but thanks for that time for deflecting a goal off your ass. It was great.

Easy whipping boy because it was frustrating to see him roam up and down the ice and not use the body. When he decided to do so (playoffs), he was an extremely effective player. Unbelievable 2012 WCF.

The thing I liked about him the most was that the puck didn't seem to go in to the Kings net very often when he was on the ice. Didn't necessarily go in the other team's net often either, but he was/is a very responsible player.

Everyone who was a part of the championships will always be special: especially those that were part of the first one. I hope he does well in Montreal and gets himself a nice paycheck moving forward.

He stepped up and fought Ryan Reeves, nobody expected that, it took guts to do it. He add size and puck control to the team. The Stoll, Lewis, King line dominated St.Louis during the the Kings playoff run.

Hate seeing guys from the two Cup teams moving on, but that's life.

Thanks Dwight, you'll always be part of that Kings group that means a lot for bringing us something (twice) that many of us wondered if we'd ever see in our lifetime.

so no Budaj appreciation thread but this?

This is a joke, right?

I've railed on King numerous times but, c'mon now, this is a pretty ridiculous statement.

Budaj helped to keep the Kings in a playoff race.

King helped the Kings win two Cups.

If you don't like the guy, steer clear of the appreciation thread. If you think Budaj deserved one, then start it.

classics!

anyone have the gif / jpg of him riding in that farm wagon thing with the cup in back? lol

Enjoy the payday, Dwight!

The impact he and Nolan had in 2012 was significant, they were one of the things that got the ball rolling. Always got honest play from him, can't ask for much more than that.

Dwight King is an honest, hard-working big guy who would go into the corners and has good hands.

His name is on the Stanley Cup twice and he contributed to the Kings victories. He and Jordan Nolan were the fresh players up from Manchester who gave us the boost we needed to win the Kings' first Stanley Cup.

May he be blessed with good health as well as continued and increased success in Montreal.

I was shocked when I heard on the radio that King got traded. It was a deal that had to be made since we were going to resign him, and its time to get away from players like him. But still a shock nonetheless. Good luck King!
