No chance big Ross is on the waiver block, unless there is another big boy deslauries type waiting to upgrade on himI keep thinking his name is Hansen Jarkins, not Jansen Harkins.
Well, anyway. Next up is Ross Johnston, hopefully?

Naw, Verbeek and Cronin like him.Well, anyway. Next up is Ross Johnston, hopefully?
Not to get too off topic, but for me, that was still the only trade in recent history I really regret Beeker doing. Having Des back would be so so nice.
My recollection is that Des asked to be traded to a competitive team. I think of that trade as PV respecting a well-liked and appreciated player.
You mean Joss Rohnston?I keep thinking his name is Hansen Jarkins, not Jansen Harkins.

I guess we should have had Harkin's on a PTO, but Verbeek wanted to hand out the 2-year deal to show he was really active this offseason haha.
He hasn't shown much other being a hustling 4rth line / call up type.
He gave him a 2 year contract as we need reliable veteran players in San Diego to help our young players, opposed to being pummeled on the scoreboard on a nightly basis.I guess we should have had Harkin's on a PTO, but Verbeek wanted to hand out the 2-year deal to show he was really active this offseason haha.

It's always an issue at the AHL level that guys are there short term and that makes it harder to build identities, continuity. He gave him a 2 year contract as we need reliable veteran players in San Diego to help our young players, opposed to being pummeled on the scoreboard on a nightly basis.
Forest through the trees and all that.
