is this sarcasm?

I didn't get that vibe at all
Yeah other than a typically slow start, they controlled play for the last half of the period. They were skating hard through the neutral zone and creating chances. Just need to be better at executing passes and getting shots through.

This is an offensively challenged team, will be all year long. It's tough to be a high scoring team when you don't have a true alpha-forward that is capable of scoring 80+ points. Getz is clearly no longer that guy

I thought we looked much crisper than we have the previous games this year.

Boston is 1 of the best defensive teams in the league, they are a bigger team and they are runner up for the cup.... they should win vs a team playing a new system where 50% of their top 9 are basically rookies. Over all I didn't think the team looked bad... passing seemed much better, breakouts seemed much better, we were getting zone time and getting shooting opportunities.

Just a young team w/ new systems vs a defensive juggernaut.... its going to be a struggle offensively.

When will we finally score a power play goal?

They were better towards the end but pretty horrible overall. Maybe the little surge at the end will carry over but I dont think they looked very good at all.
Ill be honest I disagree.

Boston makes good teams look bad... they have great dmen, top shutdown line in the league and honestly the coyle line is solid shutdown line in its own right. This is a top 5 team in the league over the last 5ish years. Well oiled machine.... were a brand new machine trying to get worn in.

First 5 mins I think the team was kind of finding its legs, waking up but after that I thought they did as well as expected considering the amount of rookies and the new system the teams learning. I didn't think boston dominated us, and I thought we had good opportunities to create offense, that we didn't capitalize on. Personally I saw a lot of good things in the first period that hopefully we continue to build on.

Had no clue there was a morning game today...

So what's the story so far? Are we at least getting equal footing, or just chasing the game?

Not terrible effort but the inability to create dangerous scoring chances continues.

Looks like a team in transition (like most of us expected). Still better than last year

The problem we have is offensively we need other people to score(and I mean forwards).

Rakell/Kase/Silf need a lil help... a lot more help

Chasing at first, got their footing as the period went on. Hopefully the guys are all awake now.
Hopefully. Max sounded gassed, pace must be high.

It's going to be the norm this season. Steel will help and the kids may improve their production over the season, but scoring will be an issue without a major addition.

Thanks.
