We ended that game weak? Looked dominate to me throughout.

Re Ostapchuk, They showed a quick clip of holding his arm close to his body and leaving the ice. Didn’t look like much but we’ve seen that with other guys and having shoulder issues.
Yeah I thought we were sloppy for like the back half.

Yeah i noticed him holding his arm after a pretty uneventful play.

If you apply the coach speak decoder ring to Green's post game comments, Ostapchuk is going to be out for a little while, unfortunately. It's pretty clear that he tweaked his shoulder. Just how badly is still to be determined, but I would be shocked if we saw him at all before Christmas...

True enough. They seemed to let foot of the gas a bit once up big. That tends to happen but yes agreed hopefully it doesn’t carry over or we will be in big time trouble against the Canes.

You would probably complain if the Sens won the cup but had a sloppy back half of the period.
No one called me a complainer after the islanders game.

Yeah and I def understand foot off the gas being 4-0 up.

The key is consistency. It's awesome to pot 5 and have your goalie play well, but it's also key to come to the next game and give the same effort. And the game after that etc. etc. etc.

We damn near ran Anaheim out of the rink. I would not have wanted to play the second period as their team.

Now do it again. And again. And again. And beware that some teams won't suck.

And after 5-0
Yeah. Sure. You’re not wrong. The issue with me is there was a let off it felt like after 3-0. Like we had that crazy flurry. (Which we ended up falling asleep on a giving them a 3 on 1) and a couple bad giveaways in our zone.

+ we got some unbelievable bounces on goals.

Wasn’t a “great” game. Of course a great game isn’t expected but we’ve played better than that. Ullmark did what he had to do again much like the Nashville game. Goaltending Changes everything

It was a great game,
Pk didn’t give up a goal as well with 5 tries or so, one being a 5 on 3.

Just out of curiosity which team plays perfectly 100% of the time in every game and in all situations? Because when I check the NHL stats page I see every team in the league has given up goals and in fact every team in the league has lost so does that mean every team is bad?

I don't disagree that the team has moments in games that aren't perfect but the way you frame issues is obnoxious. The team could win the cup and let you into the locker to drink beer from the cup and you'd find a way to complain it wasn't cold enough

Absolutely
We need and we want wins
And that's what they gave us even if it wasn't perfect
Not much to complain about
Now onto more wins

Ullmark is the real deal. Amazing to see what competent goaltending can do for a team. This is what I felt the key to getting these guys off the ground was, so nice to see it coming around even if late. Shame Forsberg likely gets a game this weekend.

Good to see progress on the PP and PK.

Total sham on that Ullmark/Ref play. Looked like it was going to be an odd man break and then bam, in the back of the net. Refs should be able to blow it down when it's that egregious imo. Imagine if that were a tie game, important game, playoffs even, and instead of a 2on1 for Ottawa it's in the back of their net. It's an embarrassing look that should be reversable. Ironically though, I thought it was a good end of the night reminder that it's not always smooth sailing and adversity is ahead.

Time to win in Carolina.

Should have shut them out .. not a big deal but still .. always nice to get one

Ullmark either a) Leaves it for Jensen who is in position or b) misses the ref

I like that Ullmark can play the puck but Jensen is there with support

I'll take it all back if he seals the deal in Carolina

Yes

Stutzle 12th
Batherson 20th
Tkachuk 23rd

We have 3 elite forwards but we have weaknesses (Hamonic, Forsberg, really poor depth on the Wings)
Yes but show me a team that doesn't have weaknesses? Every team in the league have weaknesses, there's no perfect team. So you're expectation is for the Sens to be perfect? No wonder you're always disappointed Xspyrit Lol

They showed an angle that clearly showed he had a wide open lane to a Senators player at their blueline. Looked like a possible odd man rush. Maybe aggressive on Ullmark's part, but the dumb f*** refs should be able to blow that down. Like I said a moment ago, imagine if that were a game deciding play in an important game? That might be enough for me to turn in to a trending video as I angrily smash the f*** out of my TV. I don't understand why that can't be at their discretion.
