I know how we all enjoy whining that the Rangers are only winning by 1-2 goals when they are cold, so this game really threw a wrench in our post-game tradition. You may think that giving up only 2 goals, scoring a ton and making the team with the highest point total in the NHL look like a bunch of amateurs would leave us with nothing to whine about, but after thinking long and hard, I came up with a few things:
1. The Knicks again outscored the Rangers. They routinely do so and that's because Dolan cares more about the NBA than the NHL.
2. The Dallas Cowboys have hot cheerleaders, the Rangers don't.
3. Mackenzie Skapski was useless tonight.
4. Messier is old and we can't rely on him to be our captain.
5. NBCSN ratings collapsed in the third period reducing the exposure Talbot got, which failed to further increase his trade value.
Whine on!
