Take Ehlers out and replace him with local Anaheim boy Chase De Leo (a Ducks season ticket holder at one time).
Take out Stoner as well and figure out the cash with someone else.
Then it might be a done deal.
Lindholm >> Trouba
Montour </½ Ehlers
Stoner and Burmi are just spare parts. Stoner have negative value and Burmi might fetch 4th rounder or so..
The Jets aren't at all likely to entertain trading Ehlers, just so ya' know.

Take Ehlers out and replace him with local Anaheim boy Chase De Leo (a Ducks season ticket holder at one time); he is pretty much ready for the NHL now.

Don't care if Burmistrov is included or not, frankly.
Then it might be a done deal.
But Jets have their super stud winger in Laine? With Wheeler, Laine and Ehlers there is one spot too much for top line spot. Wheeler is the capitano and he isn't going anywhere. So it's either Laine or Ehlers for longterm. They are both top line forwards but there isn't room for both of them.
Ehlers & Laine will soon want + 6 mil contracts and Jets don't have cap space for both of those guys. When they ofc want to resign Wheeler and he's getting +7 mil.
So, even though Lindholm's better and has more value than Trouba, the Jets get to remove the other good piece from the deal and refuse the cap dump? Lindholm, alone, would be worth more than Trouba and De Leo and yet we're still adding Montour to the deal? Makes sense...
I'd rather keep Lindholm, keep developing Montour and end up trading him (or whoever he makes expendable down the road) for a lesser young forward than Ehlers.

Ducks arent moving Lindholm

Ducks would be nuts to turn down the OP with Ehlers in it but that's OK because he isn't going anywhere.
