I went to the game Friday but haven't had a chance to post since. Let me just say this, I double-dog dare the Canes to play any worse than they did Friday tonight. I don't think they can. I guess the positive is that they were just stupid-awful and they had a chance to get a point until the final buzzer.

At what point do we try Slavin on this abysmal PP? No one can make a zone entry nor keep the puck on the O zone. Slavin might be able to contribute on the PP, he's not terrible at moving the puck around. I'd be willing to sacrifice a minute or 2 of even strength Slavin for him to get a few PP opportunities to see if he clicks.

I still have a hard time believing that other teams don't just continue to commit infractions so the canes spend most of the game a man up. It is palpably, considerably less dangerous than their play 5 on 5
