This is speculation . I loved it when I lived in Calgary but have moved away and I am just as happy in Halifax . Loving a place does not mean you can not move on from that place and enjoy life just as much . Dallas may look to replace Spezza . Going to a place with very low taxes and warm weather can change ones mind in a hurry .

I would like to see this happen a bit more often. Ultimately the reason that Duchene may return after being traded is that there are few teams that need him more than Ottawa. They have the cap space and the whole on their roster.

Everything makes sense now. All along, Melnyk and Dorion's plan was to trade Karlsson, Duchene and Stone and have them all re-sign with Ottawa this summer!
