I keep thinking about that video from the dressing room after Game 7 last year where everyone is completely shattered and Hyman is telling the boys "I know we're going to be back, I know it in my f*cking heart." And now they're on the cusp of being back and he won't be part of it.

F*cking sucks, but hopefully that gives the boys some extra motivation along with the thirst for vengeance. Put these frauds away Thursday, rest up and go get the f*cking Cup.

No way we should play 11-7. If we lose another forward to injury going with 10 forwards would exhaust the 10 left and jeopardize game 6 and 7. If Ek is ready play him sit Stecher. Play JSkinner limited minutes in certain situations only. If Brown isn’t ready for Florida play Jones 4-5 minutes a games strictly to be Kassian to Tkachuk or Marchant

Just looked it up via Grok. 6 step process between nhl/nhlpa that a player can't move forward from until the previous step is done. This process is done when a player is removed from the game and can't return. Each step takes about a day at the best case and can't begin until 24 hours minimum after the concussion happens.

So essentially it's about a 7 day process.

Gotta be Perry, followed by Pickard, and Skinner actually. Brown, Stetcher, RNH have also been better than expected.

I'm pretty sure there used to be a 7 day rule, but like you, when I went searching awhile back couldn't find it. I do think teams generally will err on the side of caution now with Concussions so it still often ends up that way. Maybe it's tied to insurance or something.
6 stage protocol, each being a 24 hr period, so 6 day plus the initial 24 hr identification time is how interpret.

And here I thought that Cassidy was a whiny bitch. DaBore says hold my beer. He has no answers so is begging the league for even more help.

My god. He's still talking about a sore foot what 5 or 6 straight press availabilities. For crying out loud. I think even that's enough for Dallas fans to say shut the f*** up and worry about stuff you can control.

I did not realize the list of players we have with the club lol.

Lowetide had a funny one about Buffalo back in 06 or something running out of d-men so they phoned one of their AHL players that was on a beach on holidays to get back and play
I remember that, they would have beat Carolina if they didn't run out of defensemen. Also it's extremely funny to me that Petrovic is playing over Dumba, lybushkin and Smith lol

And frankly, Petrovic isn't even playing badly. I mean he's part of the problem in terms of moving the puck up ice, but I can't really think of many examples where he's been victimized by an Oiler. Same with Bischell. Going into the series, I was expecting the Oiler forwards to feast on those two, but really the damage has moreso been done against the top 4.

I guess, they both aren't good, so the disparity in the Blueline depth between the 2 teams is nuts

I'll put it another way. I don't think that those two are hurting the team as much as Suter did in last year's series or even how Petrovic hurt them last year in the way they had to shelter him much more than they have this year.

Even with the Hyman injury which is really unfortunate I still love this teams chance *if* they make the final. I think a lot of people are underestimating how much better our defence is going into another matchup with Florida. Walman, Klingberg, and Stetcher is a massive upgrade from VD, Ceci and Broberg.

If Skinner keeps his head on straight there is enough goal scoring in the forwards corps to bring home a cup. I just hope they wrap it up tomorrow and get some rest.

Except he didn't go back to being bad after Picard played 2 games against vancouver last year. He was good rest of playoffs

Yes I realize that. That is why I said he is bad until he is good, and he was good when he returned from Picard's relief stint in the playoffs last year.

Thinking about it earlier I realized that since that goal with .4 seconds on the clock to lose vs. Vegas, Edmonton has only allowed 3 goals in total at 5 on 5 in 18+ periods. 367 minutes. That's less than half a goal per game at 5 on 5.

Using just actual 5 on 5 minutes it's still an amazing 0.6 GA/60. Though Florida's on a similar run of 0.96 GA/60 over the same time line despite 2 additional gams.
