Probably a bit above where he'd be ideally (~$2M AAV), but they were under the gun with him as pending UFA and needed to keep that trade together.

Basically a Danton Heinen with more speed and size. I’ll take this deal any day, especially at only a 2 year term.

That’s basically exactly what they did.

Essentially replaced Heinen both on the ice and on the cap. Brings an element of size and speed that we need. Can't complain too much about the term and the cap hit. Good deal.
