I am thinking more like 8:3 kind of thing .. I think we score more then 1 goal since our offense is just really good despite the players playing at like 40% of their abilities .. but with our atrocious defense on this tourney ... we will be lucky to not get 10 tonightCan vs Cze 5:1(5:2)

The degradation of our quality of play is really astonishing. Just a reminder, that this is more or less the team that play toe to toe with far better Canadian team in the Hlinka´s final in August. Now, we cant even get out of our zone and Canadians are skating around us like if we were practice dummies

It turned out exactly as it should have. Canada was the better team and we absolutely did not deserve to play in the semi-finals throughout the tournament. I write this knowing that we really fought as a team today, but we deserved to be eliminated from the tournament.

Good game yesterday, I really didnt expect to watch till the end and cheer like crazy lol. Shame we couldnt bring it home. But I dont think Canadians were that much better yesterday. We finally played on the level which was expected from this team and the difference was crazy. Canadians were better in 2nd period, but 1st and 3rd were pretty even. In the OT then it was pretty one sided, cause going 3 on 3 with Canada is just brutal, but still we could have won this, that Mrtka solo and shot which went over the shoulder of Canadian goalie almost went in lol.
But overall I agree that this was another disastrous tournament, and for the whole tournament we didnt deserve to win yesterday. It all goes on the shoulders of Cermak, who is just not a real coach. With such a team he should have achieved just much more, then one lousy 4:2 over relegated Switzerland.
Poor choice of GKs, Katolicky completely sidelined and misused, absolutely 0 mental preparation for the tournament, besided of Katolicky he barely touched the lines eventhough it clearly wasnt working, and yesterday idk but I think he f***ed up the OT too to a degree. I mean against Canada with 3 on 3 you just want to put your best players in there and try to end it quickly ... yet no Benak and Novotny for the opening faceoff. I am so glad that he is ending, didnt thought someone could be worse then Petr lol. Lets see how Tomajko does, but the bar is not set very high.
Hopefully it will be better next year, with Poletin in net from the start. But overall we probably wont have that strong team as this year ... Novotny wont be eligible if I am correct since he is born in November ... so that will suck big time .. there will still be Poletin, Dravecky, Katolicky (hopefully used properly) and Novak ... and from the younger group Kachlir, Byrtus, Hartl, Tomek and there is still that Taliga kid, although I am not that convinced about him, he dominated but as a 16yrs old in a U16 league, so thats not really that impressive. Some guys will hopefully pop out during next season, and with better coach and proper GK, we can actually make bigger success than this last two years.

Man f*** that eligibility nonsense ... I get it at U20 level, but here just all the players who goes to draft that year (not as overager) should be eligible.
It always differs in all categories based on the year of birth. The draft is something different.

This was as golden an opportunity to bronze that it is almost funny that we knew it'd be dreaded. I'm not kidding... our NT (with Hronek today) would lose here.lol U18 is our curse.
I loved the roster and the players. I loved how we played yesterday. Tournament sucked, no surprise but I don't leave here thinking we are doomed. I leave here thinking we f***ed 7 days in Texas.lol The hockey and players are promising.
But we had a chance to reasonably avoide Canada/USA/Sweden and didn't do that. Only ourselves to blame.
Didn't even realize Switzerland got relegated. So a gold calibre squad barely squeezed one win against a relegated team. Way to go Cermak. And since the relegation is apparently only one game at this point, thank god for avoiding it at the very least. The way this team was coached they were absolutely capable of losing to Norway as well.
Don't understand the praise for their game against Canada either, defense was slighty better, the only major difference was that Poletin actually made some saves unlike the sieves Orsulak and Trejbal.
No idea what to expect from Tomajko, but I guess you can't do much worse. When I think of Olomouc I think of a brutal all defense, zero offense system though, hopefully he doesn't try to play the same with the U18...
