It is already quite clear that the national team is not a priority for those three players (of course not by your own decision). The fact that the journalists did not know where Benák was at all (the article originally said that they only assumed that he was still at the club) indicates how things really are. As long as those clubs are not relegated, they will not let them go. At least that is how it seems now. Unfortunately, after the nomination, we all got the wrong message. Maybe that will make the team even more united.

Its absolutely ridiculous misstep from our national team then lmao. To list players in the final lineup who may not be available

Kinda more like wishful lineup instead of final lineup lol

I am amazed by the (non)communication of the hockey association towards this topic. Nobody knows anything, what was written is not valid.

I would wish you luck too but I read USA has medalled in 25 out of 30 these and we haven't had one since 2014.lol.

I think we will be missing 3 key guys tomorrow.

I do love this team in paper though and have no complaints. Will be missing first period of Oilers game for it! Unless you guys are up 5-0.

That's not a sacrifice I would make to skip NHL playoffs for my favorite team. U18's would come second for me, but I would've loved to have the choice that I'm not getting this year! :thumbd:

Seems like a skeleton crew to start against the USA! This one is on TSN and CTsport! Don't know about the rest.

There is really 11 f***in better prospects in that league then Benak? I mean I know he doesnt have the size, but cmon, this is just getting too ridiculous.

I think he just ranked the USHL players. So that could land Nestrasil in round 1.

benak will win rookie of the year, win the U18.. go to Sweden and win gold for the senior team and go undrafted.lol

So woke up and seeing we lost 2:4 and telling myself “not bad, probably a decent even game against strongest team”

Then I learn that we f***en led 2:1 even 5mins before the end and then completely crumbeld as ususal against US lol. And I am pissed, what a damn shame

They honestly played a great game and I'd welcome a rematch. Especially with Benak. Zahesky was outstanding which I didn't expect.
