Agreed but hopefully this doesnt screw with his rhythm sometimes if a guy is hot you just let him play in the AHL and get more and more confidence. If he isnt used in a top 6 role this will be one of the stupider moves by this organization and thats saying something. Kinda like playing Chabot out of position for the system type stupid.

I get where you are going but 1. We can't have team full of rookies and 2. We can't deplete Belleville to the point where they get caved every shift.. They are doing this part right imo, as surprising as that may be.

Agreed. I'm hesitant of bringing up Batherson personally but the circumstances dictate it. He should be down most of the year to dominate the AHL which he has been doing.

All ELCs are 2 way meaning they have different salaries in the NHL and AHL. Batherson makes 70k in the A, ~700k in the N. Standard for almost all ELCs.

1 ways are the deals you get as an established player.

2 ways are what you get on your ELC or as a fringe player (Carey this year)

I feel like you're getting slightly mixed up. Why would a player "work up" to a worse salary structure? A player on a two-way contract can make as little as 70k a year (or something around that) whereas a one-way contract guarantees at least 650k per year.
