Nice try. If it was about the weather, then he wouldn't have signed his last contract to stay in Edmonton.because living in cali is nicer than the north pole and some people would prefer not dealing with the media in an insane hockey market
not saying it'll happen, but that's the argument

Good cope, 10/10They don’t get to play the kings, and rack up most of their playoff points. They were pretty mediocre against the good teams, as expected

Exactly, everyone knows you need 4 highly paid forwards.......Unsure if you need 2 highly paid forwards like that. Just don’t think it makes sense. Oilers have to think about it long and hard.
Nothing to cope with here! Edmonton fans have become so obnoxious (generalization) that even Leafs fans have to cheer for Florida.Good cope, 10/10
Not to mention multi-millionaires can own property in or quickly fly to any sort of tropical environment they want during the offseason and live there 365 days a year when they retire in their mid-to-late 30s, should they please. The NHL season is pretty demanding—near-daily practices and half your time on the road—so it's not like these guys are punching out at 5 and pouring margaritas in the sun every day of the week. It's a different type of job.
I think people likely overrate how big of a factor "nice weather" would be to the majority of players, especially when, in this situation, the alternative allows you to continue playing in a familiar organization beside the absolute best player in the world.
