Trying to find arguments for Sakic feels like grasping at straws. The better peak season? Maybe. Debatable. But overall it's Draisaitl and not very close either.

Burnaby Joe gets so overrated on nostalgia. I think Draisaitl has put together multiple seasons more impressive than Sakic's best.

In totality, Draisaitl has the better prime. But Sakic definitely has the most impressive season of the two. 118 points, 50+ goals, and 2nd in selke voting in a season where only one other player even scored 100 is great enough, then you add the smythe level playoff run on top of that.

Sakic never performed poorly in the SCF. Draisaitl has done that twice now.

Sakic had so many game winning goals in the 96 postseason.

Draisaitl got a lucky OT goal tonight. But he wasn't very good. In fact, he has struggled in all of the SCF games (6) in Florida

Draiatal was also playing injured last year so your point is not very valid and seems narrative driven at best.

Overall it's not like Joe is the better playoff performer anyways so what exactly are you trying to say?

He was injured in the Finals last year so criticizing his "play" when he wouldn't have been playing had it been a regular season game seems quite different than "not performing" ight?

Also like I said good luck making the argument that Sakic has any individual advantage in playoff performance over Draisaitl as he doesn't.

Also if we want to play the health game Sakic was often injured as well , do you hold that against him?

Draisaitl is clearly ahead of Joe at the same age but Joe really had an excellent back 9 so it will be very interesting to watch going forward.
