We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.

Pickard is the kind of goalie that is not good in the big picture, but works his bag off. Unlike the other one, it’s pretty apparent he’s giving it his all despite the size/talent deficit. He battles, and that’s something teams will play for.
Every once in a while a pretty clear backup/non-NHL goalie gets randomly hot and goes on a run. Think the “Hamburglar” (I literally don’t remember his name), Michael Leighton, etc.
His colleague is a bum. Ride Pickard until he gives a reason not to play him. At best he catches a run, at worst we’re in the same place we are now, in the middle ground Skinner gets time off to get back to his baseline below average NHL level (giant improvement over what he’s doing now).

True.. but he's been obese ass down in the farm as well. Oil are stuck now with the shit we got.
Not sure why people are so bummed out especially on a back to back. We are starting to dominate again in fancy stats, just need to put it all together. Missing Ekholm too, arguably our best dman when healthy
Pickard isn’t the answer. And his stats are similar to Skinners but I still prefer watching Pickard because he’s not anxiety inducing like Skinner is.
But he has more or less done his job of a $1m backup.
Funny how whenever this team needs a big win they get it from their AHL goalie.
Definitely not the answer, just a better bet than the other one at the moment.
Pickard has the ability and wherewithal to battle and grind out results despite his limited ability. The other one parks his fat ass on the goal line and hopes it hits him.
Probably because the team is boring to watch because literally one forward can score goals on the team. Hopefully Frederic and Kane bring something.
He's more of the answer than Skinner is.
I'd put Savoie in for the playoffs at this rate too. These guys have had like 60 games to show any semblance of chemistry and they've shown f*** all. I honestly think we should consider bringing Derek Ryan back too. He's toast but half these forwards don't do shit anyway, at least he can PK.

Without Drai 49 goals we'd be one of the worst scoring teams in the league. We have McD with his worst season since rookie season. Nuge worst season ever. Hyman severe fallback season and the rest of the forwards other than Perry getting flat out nothing.
Come playoffs we've got a sputtering 4 Cylinder output thats going to have to keep up with Top Fuel monsters. You can't have this many forwards incapable of potting. That dog won't hunt.
