This is just insanely fun, I've been able to get Iginla with Toronto's pick in 3 out of 10 drafts... that would be quite something.

Is there anyway you can make the rankings a little more realistic? Like following Bob Mckenzie's rankings or someone that is usually close to the real thing. It feels like every year I'll be able to get a Russian that goes in the top 15 in the mid second round. My results this year for the Hawks;

4: Demidov
20: Yakemchuk
30: Hage
34: Surin

I love the work that's put in. This is my only criticism. I always have a good time with this website

The value of #1 is crazy. I was able to trade the #1 to SJ for the #2 and the rest of their picks which includes the #14.

Ya I love this site and would love to tip. It would be nice if other popular rankings like Bob were available to pick.

The issue obviously is that they don't have a way to monetize the traffic that the simulator gets, so for them it's just another way to promote their for profit draft content. Using Bob's list obviously works against that.

It would make more sense to spin the simulator off as a standalone tool that makes some advertising money. But I fully understand if Dan and his team would rather be watching prospects than dealing with that.

They've added Bob's rankings every time he finally releases his final rankings each year. Click on the rankings in the options menu that is beside draft rounds and above randomness factor.

I would gladly take adds or pay for it if it was a better product. Like custom rankings and whatnot. It’s amazing considering it’s free but they could do what Elite Prospects do and Inwould pay.

Are you planning to add the new McKenzie rankings?!

You know what would be really cool? If we could change the teams order. That way all of us who are in simulated hockey leagues and do our own draft could use this great draft simulator.

Just a thought..

Before using McKenzie's updated draft rankings I got a crazy haul with the Canadiens.

With the new updated list I got:
5-Lindstrom
26-Hage
57-Marques
70-Brunnicke
78-Bednarik
102-Poirier
130-Kol
134-Gidlof
166-Pridham
198-Holinka (at that point, there were not many names I even recognized)
210-Bodin
222-Melovsky

Poirier that low was great value I think, as was Timur Kol. And one of my buddies liked Gidlof the few times he saw him play when we talked about underrated prospects we liked, so I took him.

The draft simulator was great, as always. So thanks for that.

Although I really don't think the Canadiens will pick that many players this year so a feature to trade picks for later years would add to the immersion although it is by no means necessary.

McKenzie final rankings and draft pick trades are now updated everyone!

Hey boss, thanks for making the sim. As a heads up, it looks like the final 4 team picks (Dallas, Edmonton, Florida, NYR) are still messed up. Should be:
29 DAL
30 NYR
31 EDM
32 FLA

Curious if you have an idea what I might need to do on my end to get McKenzie's final rankings? When I choose him, it's still his older rankings, as I still see Jiricek at 26.
