Philadelphia Bell is on the clock via trade, and I sweated this one out a bit as I wanted to move up sooner, but this player was still there for me to take. Definitely a dual-purpose player, perhaps tri-purpose player.

Philadelphia Bell selects, a familiar hometown guy, RT Lane Johnson, whom I’m fairly sure makes the Hall of Fame, 4x Pro Bowler, 2x All-Pro and an inordinate team record when he plays compared to when he doesn’t.

It’s a bit more difficult for right tackles to get the same kinds of accolades left tackles get. I also think the nature of size and athleticism in tackles today outweighs what it had been in yesteryear.

Notre Dame selects NFL MVP running back Adrian Peterson, the 7-time all pro, the last being at age 30 at the tail end of his dominant run in Minnesota before further injuries caught up to him, he having previously recovered legendarily quickly from an ACL to continue his dominance, having an NFL record near 300-yard game and recording one of his 3 rushing yard leader seasons to go with his 2 NFL-leading rushing TD years. On the 2010's Decade team, "All Day" is often considered a top-5 to 7 all-time runner, with his combo of speed and strength, ability to cut quickly and break tackles as well as anyone ever.

Notre Dame selects NFL MVP running back Adrian Peterson, the 7-time all pro, the last being at age 30 at the tail end of his dominant run in Minnesota before further injuries caught up to him, he having previously recovered legendarily quickly from an ACL to continue his dominance, having an NFL record near 300-yard game and recording one of his 3 rushing yard leader seasons to go with his 2 NFL-leading rushing TD years. On the 2010's Decade team, "All Day" is often considered a top-5 to 7 all-time runner, with his combo of speed and strength, ability to cut quickly and break tackles as well as anyone ever.

The former was on the 1930s all-decade team and captained the Bears to 3 championships in the early 1940s, is top-10 on Chicago's top-25 all-time player list. Also played LB, but has extra awards and accolades for his line play (named best lineman in the NFL in 1940, was a line coach after he retired). The average height in America then was 5'7 so his 6'0 was like 6'3 now. (I researched this but am waking up, without my notes at the moment). He is on the NFL 100.

The latter played a few positions early but most of his long career he was as star at cornerback and kick returner. He had great speed and was heralded as the team's best athlete, helping them win multiple Superbowls, on the all-decade team. Many pundits list him as 7th to 10th to 14th all time as a cornerback.
